I have been trying to make my own small little plug-ins but when I open up a new plug, or even the nova data files, weaps, spobs, systs, roids and ships come up as code. I don't think this is meant to happen, before it was happening to more of them but I managed to fix some. I had it working relatively normally at one stage, except for ships and weaps, but they went too. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Try reinstalling NovaTools (I assume you have then because of the topic name). If it just won't work, try the good old templates. They're less pretty, but they work.

Damn, I was trying not to use them, I have reinstalled Novatools though i noticed quite a few DITL name were missing, maybe it doesn't matter but I tryed to fix it but I couldn't figure out what some of them were...
Yea, also NovaTools has issues with OS 9.2. But using the regular templates work well as well. They're a little slower, and have a slightly longer learning curve, but the Nova Bible is a little easier to use. NovaTools rearranges the resources in its graphic layout so that they're a little more intuitive, but if you need an explanation in the bible, sometimes you have to search a bit.

I have tryed that too, maybe I looked at it funny... I don't know, before the Templates were messing up as well but now I might just use them Like people said...
I was also having the same problem (I am also running OS X). I was able to fix it by deleting the ResEdit preferences, increasing the memory of ResEdit to 5200 KB (it was previously on 520 KB by default) and then copying a the NovaTools over to a new ResEdit preferences file. I hope this works for you as well.

Oh yeah, ResEdit needs more RAM when you install the editors.
