Hypergate Graphics

I am creating a new system and in it a placed a new hypergate into the system. However, whenever you go to land on it the animation opens all the way, then goes back to half way, and it continues and will not stay open. The hypergate still allows you to travel through it, but it is very annoying seeing it flickering like that. Does any one have any ideas on what is wrong, and how to fix it?

You didn't modify or try to replace the spďn or the rlës did you? Because if you did, that could be the problem, if you didn't do that, I have no idea.

All that I did was went and got the spin, rle8, and rleD resources. I took these and copied all of them into my new spob. I also changed the resource ID of all three, at least I think I did. I am not sure if that is what caused the problem. I still need more help.

Hmmm, unless you've changed the graphics, you don't need to copy the sprites or spďns over to the plug. It's really just kind of taking up space. 🙂 It could be that if you changed the ID's of the new resources, that might be the problem. Try taking out the new ones, and changing the spöb resources to use the original graphics (ID 1001 I believe). I hope this helps

Thanks for the help. I will try this out.

That will not help, this is an intentional feature of hypergate graphics. Have a look, in NovaTools, at the spöb resource for a hypergate: you will notice that the Cust PICT field is 37, even though this resource does not actually exist. In a hypergate, that field controls the point in the animation at which it begins to loop: therefore, set the field in your own spöb to that same value.
