I'm working on a plug-in that would make a lot more sense with new gfx, and I wanted to know if anyone knew of a good shipyard? I need generic human ships as well as alien ships. I'm thinking the aliens should look somewhat like polaris ships, the humans like fed ships, but those are flexible. Anything I can't find alternate gfx for will get nova gfx.
thanks in advance

There are plenty of shipyards, such as Saber Studios (saberstudios.evula.net), and Shade's Shipyard (the URL for which I do not remember), just to name a few.
------------------ (insert random quote from web board random quote display)
Here is a list of a few:
(url="http://"http://saberstudios.evula.net")Saber Studios(/url) (currently down)
Shade's Shipyard (url="http://"http://www.connect.ab.ca/~bsommerf/")Adam's Shipyard (download links broken) (url="http://"http://www.evula.com/shipyard/eeun.html")Eeun's Shipyard(/url) (url="http://"http://www.evula.com/shipyard/")EVula's Shipyard(/url) (url="http://"http://www.modenstudios.com/shipyard/")Meowx Design(/url) (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Battlefield/8064/Caernarvon.html")Caernarvon Station(/url) (download links broken)
As I recall, no shipyards currently have Nova-quality graphics (16bit, 200x200 pictures, etc.) It will be a little bit before we start seeing a surge of new graphics for Nova.
If you decide to move your plug down to EVO or EVC,and want the ships on Adam's Shipyard, I may have them downloaded, or someone else has them. Ask around. Also, (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/captainz")my own site(/url) has a few things up to offer, with more to come (I've been busy with my new TC plug for EVO... screenshots coming soon). Depending on what you need, I may be able to make a ship or two for you. (See my site for some examples). Good luck.
Here's a couple other (EV/EVO) shipyards and ship resources:
(url="http://"http://www.shoalhaven.net.au/~bb/")BB's EV Shipyard(/url) (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/chaosgrafix/")Conwy Station(/url) (url="http://"http://www.sendanet.es/sastre/ruipernet/warlock/inicio.html")Warlock Shipyard(/url) (some free, but charges a fee for some ships, if I recall correctly (url="http://"http://home.earthlink.net/~squibix/ev/")Squibix EV Art & Craft(/url) (no downloads, but he will e-mail the free ship graphics on request) (url="http://"http://skullwerkz.tsx.org/")SkullWerkz Graphics(/url) (WARNING: this is a pop-up nightmare. Turn off java/javascript.) (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/startrekev/prototypes.htm")The Star Trek Escape Velocity: Override discarded prototypes(/url) (Star Trek ships, as you might guess)
Also, if you have the patience to go thru the plug-ins on the Ambrosia EV/EVO sites, some of the authors have made the graphics in their plugs free for use, like (url="http://"ftp://ftp.ambrosiasw.com/pub/evo/plugins/Incomplete.sit.hqx")UniversalWolf's EVO Incomplete -- formerly Silent Ruins of Earth(/url) or (url="http://"ftp://ftp.AmbrosiaSW.com/pub/evo/plugins/Complete_Incomplete.sit.hqx")Complete Incomplete(/url) (later version w/ more graphics).
I keep a list of all the ones I know of at (url="http://"http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/msw4/evoa/resources.html")http://www.people.co.../resources.html(/url) which I need to add Captain Z to.
