EV Nova Galaxy

I have an idea for this web site
It would be a fantastic resource for plug-in designers, people wanting to know more about EV Nova, and just about everyone else.
Basically, what this website The EV Nova Galaxy (or something similar) would be is a huge guide to various things in the EV Nova Galaxy. These things would be spaceships, weapons, and food people on some planet on the outermost fringes of the galaxy eat.
I have posted an example site at (url="http://"http://alienhorizons.freeservers.com/Helios_Cluster/")http://alienhorizons...Helios_Cluster/(/url) entitled The Helios Cluster. This page would have objects in Ambrosias EV Nova Galaxy (as in, in EVO), as well as objects from plug-ins and objects that have never been used. However, all of these user-submitted materials would be reviewed and regulated to maintain that EV Nova feel.

I believe I have 54 categories currently (55 if you include art which I forgot to post)

Any comments or suggestions would be nice. What do people think of this idea?

Also, I was wondering where to get a cheap domain name and cheap hosting.

Umm, no offense, but how the heck are you going to know what's in the EV Nova galaxy until it's released? Unless some hack has posted a copy I don't know about...

Gotcha. You know, you may want to put the major content of this site in a file, and put it in the "guides" section of the EVN addons page.

That could be an idea.

Oh yeah I still need to stress that unlike a guide, though, this has things that are NOT in Nova; such as what people's homes look like on a given planet.

I guess what I am trying to create is an ENTIRE world. And, every aspect should be looked at by a group of people who are interested in that world (The Nova Community).

Sounds like a great idea. Even if many details are "made up," so to speak, this could provide an excellent source for background material for plug in storylines. These guidelines would not be mandatory for plug in developers, but would certainly be helpful for those who choose to use it.

Yes, you could say much of the material would be "made up" but we would only post material which was someone could realisically say was in the EV Nova Galaxy.
i.e. We would not post material about the Super Deluxe Dreadnaught 5 which is a ship that can destroy planets in one hit is invincable and can be bought by the player for 1 credit.

I think you should probably work on that idea more when the game is actually released, I think its a bit early to start thinking about plug-ins. But when people have already started to get tired of this game, I think personally it'd be fine to start this. But as long as you have your basic ideas you are prepared.

If anybody can understand what I am saying I decided this isn't quite as bad an idea as I originally thought.

Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Neither of the two sites you just mentioned do what I am trying to propose. I know I'm not expressing myself as clearly as I should be able to but if you'd just try to see what I mean you might find yourself quite interested in my idea.
