I am a beginer in making plugins, and like to make new ships, or at least I like plugins that have new ships. So, if anyone has free ship making services could you please see about making me some? What I would like are: 1. Ships that look like they are captured from the rebels, Confederation, or UE, and rusted all over like they were ancient but still able to see the design.
2. If you can, would like it to look like the ships have things like broke wings, or missing wings.

I think the person to talk to would be Captain Skyblade, who is currently missing in action due to some unknown reason (he was banned from the internet from his parents.). His ships have that decayed, rundown look that would be exactly what your looking for.
Keep looking around here for a while, because no one knows when he will be back.

With a little fooling around in Photoshop or another decent image editor, you might be able to achieve the effects you described simply by modifying the original sprites.

The only thing is, I totally suck at graphics. I can't make a shuttle craft!oh, and I don't have photoshop. Just PhotoDeluxe.

I can do free graphics but I'm not that good so they might be a little on the low quality side. Do you want them to be existing confed/rebel ships or new designs. Reply if you want me to.

Just make your own with a 3D program. There are a few free ones.

I'm working on a damaged Confederation bomber with Mechanisto 2.0 which well making more somple graphics is very easy to use.

I sent you an email with the finished bomber. Sorry for the delay it took me a while to figure out how to do sprites. By the way the sprites are a 3/4 view, hope you don't mind.

I have to agree with this. If you have miscellaneous ships made by various other artists, your plugin will look like a miscellaneous collection. Better to do the work and impose your own artistic vision

In a slightly off-topic point, does anybody know of a free 3d graphics program (similar, maybe, to Strata Base, which I used to use) that runs in OS X? My love of fiddling around with making my own ships is equalled only by my hatred of rebooting into 9..

Is there anyway someone can make a plugin for me. Just a simple one. One that Gives me one custom ship. I want a voinian frigate, only I want all the red spots blue, at a cloaking device, decent shields, same armor, more weapon space, more cargo space, slightly faster, a bit more manueverable. I want it to compare in size and power with the crescent warship actually.
Can anybody, or does anybody know anybody who could do this for me??
Ive said this many times before which is scattered throughout the web board, but anyways, there is a download which contains all the 3D model files which was used to create EVO, unless you have at least Specular Infini-D, this download maybe of no use to you. But if you do, you will find it convenient because every file has the default texture for the EVO ships as well as outfits, planets, and stations. If you start there, you'll have a good start, as for EV classic, I have not found any downloads for EV 3D model designs, yet. But I'll keep looking though.

My 3D skills are somewhat under par, and Strata Base doesn't support subtractive objects, so I'm unable to make a polished design. The ship I'm looking for is small, about the size of a basic Nova shuttlecraft on the screen, and fairly simple. It would not take an experienced individual long to make. If you've got an hour or two to burn making a ship for someone, e-mail me at mr.lothario@cox.net.

If you still have trouble finding 3D models, I might be willing seeing how I will be able to make some time in my schedule, if you decide to have me design a ship, you must know a lil bout me.
First, I have great ideas on making ships, but they are too complex in design for me to create on my Infini-D. Second, most ships I make are similar in style as in other EVO ships. If you want a ship to match the style in the same manner of original ships, I can do that.
