pilotConverter 2.0b ready (but alas, no ports)

Nostalgia strikes and you decide to play in the original EV universe; all the planets and ships you grew up with, calling you back. So you put the EV port into the Nova plugins folder and start her up.

But then, ack! You're back in a shuttle craft, you haven't explored anything, and you're dirt poor. If only there were some way you could use your old EV pilot file with the EV port in Nova.

Pilot Converter 2.0b allows users to convert their Escape Velocity pilot files into Escape Velocity:Nova pilot files, keeping everything except active missions intact. From dominated stellars to set mission bits, PC2b transfers everything so you can keep on playing in the universe you love, with the stuff you love.

"But I like EVO," you say. Will this wondrous program do the same for EVO pilots? Why yes, yes it will. With loving care, PC2b will take your EVO pilot and supersize it.

Say "Hello!" to the
Rebellion and the three Strands
all over again.

Ok. That's my plug for the program. In reality, however, PC2b isn't much use without retro-plugins. A EV plugin is in the works (http://www.AmbrosiaS...TML/002539.html), and is something I used in testing, but until PortAuthority is released, I'm guessing ports of the older versions will be slow in coming.

I've disabled PC2b's ability to convert EVO files to EVN format, simply because I have no testbed. I'm 90% sure it would convert the files correctly, but I'd rather test first.

Just getting the word out.

And for those that are still playing with the EVO engine but miss their EV pilots, there's PC1b.
