This final edition of my bible updates, and covers changes from the February 19th edition to the March 2nd (Gold Master) release.
Given Nova's impending release, I'm not certain that the Nova forum is the best place to post news relevant to developers, so I've cross-posted to the Developer's Corner. Moderators should feel free to lock whichever one they wish.
Corrections o the Long-Murky Notion of flët Embedding
A note has been added to "DudeTypes" in s˙st resource explaining very clearly how to use negative ID numbers for flët embedding.
The "% Prob" field in the s˙st resource has been changed slightly to indicate that both shďps and fleets can be referenced in DudeTypes.
The "One special note" commenting on negative DudeTypes has been removed, since it would be redundant now.
Reference to embedding flëts in düdes removed from flét resource
Typos/Minor Revisions
Last revision 3/3/02 (was 2/19/02)
Prerelease warning removed
shďp resource's "(approximatly equals)" is now a "? symbol. I guess there was no amp code for it.

What exactly did you do to get the two to compare? I love BBEdit, and would love to have that as a tool for future projects.

It's in plain sight, at the bottom of the "Search" menu. I had to do some reformatting on the HTML'ed pre-release (swap amp codes, trim leading and lagging carriage returns), but after that they compared just fine.

Uh, I'm both a newbie (to plug development) and apparently an idiot, but where would I go to find this latest draft of the EVN Bible? I see no links in your post, and the Bible on the ASW website is still 2/19/02 pre-release.... (I'm sure that when I get an answer, I will be able to delee "apparently" from my first sentence above. )

Thanks. Guess this means I will have to wait until I get home, as it's a .sit. (Curse these work PCs!)
I'm a bit confused about the CrimeTol field. The EVN Bible says in the govt resource description that CrimeTol is "the maximum amount of evilness the player can accumulate before warships of this govt start to beat on him." Whereas it says in Appendix II that if you accumulate as much evilness (or goodness) as the value of a governments CrimeTol, you go up (or down) by 1 on the Good/Evil Scales in said Appendix.
Does this mean that warships will attack you when you're only at -1 on the Evil Scale? Or does the first description refer to the number you're at on the Evil Scale (i.e. CrimeTol x Evil Points)? Or is it something else entirely?
