Hey, guys, this is for anybody who don"t know yet. Alias Wavefront reliesed Maya Personal Leartning Edition. You can download it at (url="http://"http://www.aliaswavefront.com")http://www.aliaswavefront.com(/url) . This is not the demo, but full blown Maya!!! You will be able to use it for one year (until March, 2003 to be precise). Ofcouse Maya is not easy to learn but this is a great chance. You cant use it for comercial purposes. Comparing to the comercial package you wan't be able to use additional plug-ins and you'll have watermark on your renderings.

Wonder if anybody would complain at the gallery if you posted something with a watermark on it.

What's the problem with watermarks? CG is not just about making and posting some stuff in EV gallery. You have a chance now to try to learn (if you want to do serious business in 3D in future ofcourse) the spft the is used in most Holywood productions and costs as much as a good car. That is what I wanted to say.

You can change the preferences to either a 1,2,or 3 button mouse. If you have 1 or 2 you have special key combintations to emulate the second and third buttons.

That's my problem also. I have Strata 3Dplus, so the release isn't as exciting for me as it could have been, but continue investigating, perhaps I could use it at my school.
