There's a lot of plug-ins out there that I want to download, but people just aren't following this rule, which is on the submit form: "avoid the use of spaces, quotes, apostrophes, and other non-alphanumeric characters." Please, read the instructions. I would like to see some of these plug-ins (most recently, Alex's Great War, looks pretty cool, but just can't download it).
Sorry for attracting so much attention for such a little post, but I'd like to get this message across to plug-in developers BEFORE they submit stuff with spaces in them again.
Thank you.

What problem are you having downloading files with spaces in their names?

For their defense, that is a VERY recent rule, one that has been around for barely longer than the new server. Most of the plugs are much older, and as a result, don't follow the rules.
Also, it may be a problem tied in with the new server getting adjusted... perhaps post something about this on Ambrosia Banter?

Well, I've had this problem ever since this new site format was conceived of. As a matter of fact, I'm noticing that some of the files with spaces in their names have no downloads; that is, it says: "D/Ls: 0". Maybe that's just because nobody's downloaded them, but I do know that when I try to download these files, it tells me that access is denied to the file or the file does not exist. Yet these files do exist when I access Ambrosia's FTP, but because of my stupid dialup connection, usually it never finishes downloading.
