I've tortured this community long enough, and you have all been very patient, so I suppose you all deserve a little reward... or at least a teaser.
The Four Mages , a large, quest-oriented plug-in for Pillars of Garendall, has been unveiled. It is still in the works, but it is about half done and is expected to be released two or three months from now.
The Four Mages adds: A side storyline New and powerful items New arcane spells (now you can deal death without sapping half your mana!) Many new maps (currently ten, and more are coming.) New and tougher enemiesthey eat the Guardian for lunch, And, if everything goes according to plan, more eye candy than I'd care to admit.
The Four Mages is ideal for the player who has beaten the Guardian and wants a bigger challenge, but also doesn't want to give up his macho character. In particular, the Conjurer class has been vastly improved upon, with new spells and magical items. Swordsmen and Rangers also have some goodies to look forward to.

Remember that with my plug-in, GameContinuer , you get to keep playing after you defeat the Guardian, folks.

That's why I waited so long to announce it... I wanted to make sure I wouldn't abandon it as long as I was in my right mind. Since it's at about that point, and since I'm working at a pretty good rate, I decided to announce the plug-in before any more people packed up and left.

I'm afraid that at the moment, I'm not accepting beta testers; I'm not finished with The Four Mages yet, and having alpha/beta testing would only slow the development process. Thank you for letting me know; when I have finished the plug-in, I'll announce on the boards and on the Four Mages web site that I'm accepting applications for potential beta testers, and you can apply at that time. However, at the moment the idea is to make the last half of the plug-in and fix the most obvious, processor-sickening bugs as I go along.

A new screenshot has been added to the Four Mages webpage, the first one in which the hero is a Conjurer. So you see? Those of you who may have checked the Four Mages webpage a few times yesterday and this morning would not hve been able to get on.
