How do you make a Quicktime movie of a ship turning clockwise and what programs can you do it in?(eg. Make a Quicktime movie of your ship turning clockwise and open it in this program and it will make a sprite and mask for that ship)

Yes.
Seriously, the first step depends on your 3d application (if any). It generally works best to select a camera position of directly overhead, and rotate the model, not the camera (that way the lights move correctly.) Many applications give you a choise of output, but assuming you went for QuickTime movie...
The second part is easy. Go to the download page here at the Ambrosia Webboard, look at EV/EVO Utilities, and download "m2s". All you need to do is drop your rendered movie on "m2s" and sit back; it will create the sprite and mask for you.
There are a few more details...how many frames, how to set up the angles (well, 36 frames and a turn of 350 degrees, from pointing due "north" to ten degrees short of north. If you are in doubt you animated correctly, play the movie and set MoviePlayer to "loop"; it should move without jerkiness or hesitation.) But there are other posts, and tutorials, and I'm sure someone who has had a little more sleep than I have can point you to them.

Actually, I don't think m2s is on the EVO downloadspage. However, you can get it (url="http://"http://www.sutherland-studios.com.au/family/evo_software.html")here.(/url)
