As for development and hacking, I suggest ResEdit. No Mac user should be without it.

Alrighty then, are you new to EV or making plugs? To make your own plug-ins You will need to go to the EV(or Override) addons page and get the EV Bible Annotated Ed., the Resedit Begainrs Guid and Macinesto(or however you spell it). And then resedit, and EV/O!
