I have been playing the demo for a few days now, and as i am enjoying the game a great deal i will be registering the game in the next couple of days. When I do this I will be getting the Trinity plugin. My question is, when i install the plugin will i need to start over, or will it incorporate itself into my present game?
I realize that to use the new chars i would need to start again, but can i continue as i am and still benefit from the plugin?

It will work if you don't restart, but there will be some problems. When you load a character that wasn't created while Trinity was installed, a window pops up saying that there will be problems, such as inconsistancies and equipment problems. Toolman is right, it's best to restart.

It's sort of a toss-up; I've beaten the game using a character which was started without Trinity, I never had any problems.

You don't need to restart, but you MUST turn off Trinity(Note:I said turn off, not uninstall), or bugs may happen. For example, I was playing with Trinity with a standard character and I was turned into a Knight. Instead of looking like one, I looked like a Knighted Conjurer. To recieve the benfits of Trinity, you must start a new character. However, even without a Trinity character, the salesman Isemer still wanders around, the mage tower and swordsmans guild exist, and I think that Norgha village exists as well.

esw is right... I think. But here's my theory as to why many females do not play games:
Picture a game such as PoG, or some other adventure game. In many games, the role of the protaganist is filled by a white male character. Though humans have a remarkable capacity to suspend their disbelief, it probably becomes quite hard when a girl is trying to believe that the male character walking around the screen is supposed to be her. Also, there is the violence in many video games which females might be hard pressed to identify with. Females tend not to find violence very attractive, nor do they usually engage in it, partly because of society and partly because of genetics (actually, it's not so much that females are supposedly docile as it is that males are more aggressive—damn testosterone!). Therefore, not many females are likely to be attracted to something like Quake 3, in which the purpose of the game is slaughter and shameless gore (heck, I'm a male and I don't find that too enticing).
So, that's my theory, given upon request. And quit yer whinin' Stark, this topic is more at home in the PoG board than in Just Chat.
