I've been trying to make a plug-in for EVO, but I have no idea how to get started (beyond the EVO Bible, which only explains about the resources and not how to actually make anything). Is there a FAQ or something someone could recommend to me?

I meant EV Override.

It is basically the same thing. There are only minor differences between EV and EVO plugs. This is the wrong board to be asking to as well, the EV Developer's board is where it should be asked, and where I am moving it to now....

Like Mikee said, it's basically the same thing -- just use the EV:O templates instead of the EV ones in your file. The rest is explained satisfactorily in the Override Bible.

Neither suffer nor oppose. You just abolish the slings and arrows. It's too easy." -- John the Savage, Brave New World

You'll want a (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=ev/utilities&file;=ResEditBeginnersGuide.sit.hqx")guide to using Res-Edit(/url) to start out with (There isn't much difference between the EV and EVO engines; just use the EVO Bible for resources that aren't in that guide to res-edit); probably also the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=ev/utilities&file;=EVDevelopersMap.sit")EV Developers' Map(/url) and the EVO Developers' Map, who's download link eludes me; (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/utilities&file;=ResEdit213.sit.hqx")Res-Edit itself(/url); maybe the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/utilities&file;=Crillee.sit.hqx")Crillee font(/url); perhaps (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/utilities&file;=shipwrite118.hqx")ShipWrite(/url); the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/utilities&file;=govteditor.hqx")Gövt Editor(/url); of course, the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/utilities&file;=evo-templates.sit.hqx")EVO Res-Edit templates(/url); and maybe a few other things. But these should all be plenty to get you started in making EVO plugins.

Bah, I was trying to leave that out of it in favor of a (url="http://"http://www.evoverride.com")better alternative(/url) ... Actually, I'm happy to know that our sites are entirely geared towards different groups; yours aims more towards plug designers, and mine towards players. That is a good thing; I don't think your site could stand the competition.
Thanks.
