Please post your ideas for PoG 2 or the next plugin put out by ambrosia(like Trinity).
I think that the next PoG or Ambrosia plugin should allow you to go over the Avrany mountain range so you can go to Utian/DrivaTan. Ambrosia should also give the player a way to adjust the sound effects. I think that the Ranger and Conjurer should have more things to learn...maybe something like 30, sort of like in Diablo 2. The Conjurer should also have better spells, because some of them aren't as useful as others. More levels should be added to the Swordsman Guild, because I beat the last one and I was expecting to get to fight lots of sea giants. Players should also get to capture sea giants or other creatures, because capturing goblins is useless when you get more powerful. Then again, it might be hard to carry a 10 ton sea giant in a bag on your shoulder. I think that the Swordsman, Conjurer, and Ranger should gain a skill/attribute or stamina points every level.
Finally, Ambrosia should do something about the experience needed to level. My character can kill Sea Giants in 4 hits, has the best equipment, and is level 25. Currently, he has a little bit over 4 million experience points. To get to level 26, he needs over 14 MILLION experience points. Ambrosia either needs to make creatures that give more experience, or lower the experience needed for the next level.
Perhaps it would be cool to have difficulty levels, like in Diablo? You would have to redo the quests, the people in town would sell better stuff( like armor that adds 300 to your armor), and monsters would be harder and give more experience(like a goblin would have 50 life, and, when killed, would drop better stuff and give something like 50 experience). Two more difficulty levels besides the normal one would be cool.
EV has a sequel and a threequel(sp?), so shouldn't PoG have a sequel?

First of all, Beenox doesn't really need to make plug-ins themselves, there are several people making pretty large plug-ins (see sig). However, if you want to make suggestions about what you'd like to see in future plug-ins, I'm not opposed to that.
A few of your ideas interest me. You mentioned "better spells"; what sorts of spells would you think are more useful than Trinity's?

If you're at this point, I really have to question your need to level up more.

As for more spells for the conjuror, Stark Bledfast is currently working on a plug to do just that with a large variety of new spells. He can say more about it if he wants

Hehe, true, but it would be cool to get to a level such as 99 or something like that as in Diablo. Can any of the Conjurer's spells kill Sea Giants easily? I haven't seen them all, but some people have said that they don't like some of them... It would be cool if there were more spells/Ranger skills though.
I think they should add spells that go much deeper into the game, for example you may learn an ultra-powerful spellrecipe down at lv. 80 or something. They should tweak the chellenge and power of monsters a bunch, and add some new areas with superhard monsters, where even with that lv. 80 spell, it'd still be a challenge to beat.

Level 80? At that rate, considering there are about 3 spells per level, and it takes two exp levels to get a spell, you would have to be level 480 before you could use it.

The spells expansion plug-in will add 22 spells to the Conjuror class. These spells vary in use, from offensive to defensive spells, some are travelling spells, some are miscellaneous spells.
Of the 22 spells you will be able to purchase only 15 of them. 7 you will have to aquire through alternative means; ie, questing, finding, or creative puzzle solving.
In addition, there are a few new items, a few new locations, and the mage tower received a small expansion to it.
The latest beta of this plug-in went to testers last night. Only a few more items remain in the plug-in before it is declared final and released. Although, it is many times the little details that make or break a plug-in, and that can delay it.
It is my desire to have the plug-in out before mid september(ie, within about 2 and a half weeks). But this is only a guestimate.
I also plan to put up a web page with screen shots of the plug-in in the near future. Look for that within a few days.

You can't advance past level 32. I sat on my ass all last year and leveled my character up, and when I got enough experience for level 33, I got the 'level up' sound, but no window, and my character info still said I was level 32.

Level 32....It must have taken hours to get that high. Highest I ever got was level 26,and that was with the Sapphire reward of +1 level.
Oh yeah and Cafall, how do you select Beta Testers for your plugins? I would be happy to be one. You say that you are adding stuff to all 3 classes. I have a standard character who has beaten PoG and killed several hundred Sea Giants(in 4 hits), a Swordsman who isn't yet fighting Sea Giants but he beat the Gaurdian easily enough, a Ranger who beat the Gaurdian, and a Conjurer who just freed General Decimus. So, I pretty much have access to everything for all 3 characters(give me about a week or two to beat the Gaurdian with the Conjurer). It would take me one week, but I am going away in an hour or so(possibly early tomorrow) to LBI, and I won't get back until next week. :frown:
Some more PoG ideas:
1.Make a "Swordsmens Guild Arena" in the Mage Tower and Norgha Village so that Rangers and Conjurors can bash some heads in an arena as well.
2.Make it so that every level, Ranger, Swordsman, and Conjuror get a raise in attributes, as well as a spell/skill every two.
3.Swordsman skills. Stuff like +5 strength for a limited time, extra damage, find weapons and armor more often, etc. Passive skills would be awesome, like increased % of finding gold/items.

I'm afraid I'm not accepting beta testers at the moment. Thank you for the offer, though. When I am ready to accept beta testers, I will announce it on the boards.

I know that you aren't selecting beta testers, I was just wondering how you select them. I'm guessing that part of selecting people is whether they have all 3 types of characters pretty far into the game, especially the Conjurer.
It says in the read me that high level ranger can transform, do any of you know whether that is true, and i think that Swordsmen should have high dexterity and rangers should have high marksmanship,
Originally posted by Ian, Savior of Cheese: **It says in the read me that high level ranger can transform, do any of you know whether that is true, and i think that Swordsmen should have high dexterity and rangers should have high marksmanship,
What you read is true, the Ranger can transform into a red Molespider for extra speed or a white minotaur for extra strength. To do this, just buy the Spider book from Gewin the Herbalist, who is located 2 screens above Fantrima(might be 3) in the northwest part of the screen. You can buy the Minotaur book from Norgha village, which is hidden in the forest 1 area north of the North Gidolan entrance and 3 areas south of the southern Varandeep Lake cave. The Spider Book is 800 gold, and once read, you can make Spider Potions as long as you want, provided that you have the ingredients required. The Minotaur book is 6000 gold and works exactly like the Spider book.
(Edit) My Conjuror now has only two quests left:The Awakening and Crush the Invaders. He has yet to beat the Guardian, and I doubt that he has the ability to do so. He can't even beat Sea Giants, and they are nearly as hard to kill as the Guardian. He can kill anything else without too much trouble though...
I just upgraded to OSX and need to register PoG again. This, however, is only a small setback to my goal of beating PoG with all 4(standard, swordsman, ranger, and conjuror) classes! I have already sent an email to Ambrosia asking for a new code and expect it to arrive in a few days. Just 3-5 more levels and lots of elixers and my Conjuror can beat the game! Of course, school will slow me down(starts tomorrow), but I expect to meet my goal very soon. (Edit)
