How much technical expertise will be required to make a plug in for EVN? Is there somewhere you can find tutorials or other documentation for plug development? What coding languages, if any, do you need to know in order to make a plug for the game?
I am sorry if I am irritating some of you more veteran board members but think of this as an opportunity to make some of us less experienced people more experience on the technical aspects of the game. Also, if there is a post regarding this particular topic I am sorry and would appreciate the link.

For EV and EVO, you only need ResEdit and the templates, which you can download from the EVO add-on page. For EVN, you will need ResEdit and R&R;'s editors, which make it much easier than templates. You don't need to know any coding languages, but if you want to make sense of the templates/editors, you will need the EV/EVO/EVN Bible. You can get the EVN Bible somewhere here (check recent topics), and the EV and EVO Bibles can be downloaded from the appropriate add-on pages.

You'l want to read up on the EV Nova bible, and have a visit to the EV Developer's board and the Dev FAQs. It's really not too tough, and with the upcoming NovaTools editors, it will be even easier.
<edit>Okay, or you could just get all this info from Restorer's post, which had the nerve to appear while I was typing up mine</edit>

You will be interested in the R&R; links in my sig. Their NovaTools are said to be awesome, they are even being used to make Nova itself!
I am moving this topic to the Dev Board where it will receive more attention.
