I'm currently making a plug-in called Galactica. It's a TC, but quite small, but I have a few problems:
1. I need a partner to work with on this one. Someone with inside knowledge on Res-Edit, VisBits, and who could test and help spell-check it with me. If anyone is availible, at least anyone who knows Visbits (most important ATM), please tell me here, e-mail me at Mikrazz5@yahoo.co.uk or pistgavin on AIM.
2. I need a graphics person. I've used some weapons graphics from EV/O, which is fine, but I have used EV/EVO graphics for all of my outfit graphics. I have downloaded loads of ship graphics off the internet, but I don't think all of them are for use, and anyway, I need more. If anyone could do 2 or 3 sets for me that would be brilliant. Outfits are less important, but they would be nice.
3. I've never got this far this fast without using EV-Edit, whereas now I'm using Res-Edit only + other utilities (ShipWrite ect.) I am really determined to finish this one but I think it'll be too hard on my own. As I said, I really need a co-worker for this, to help me with the story and ideas as well as technical stuff.
This plug is in developement stage atm but will soon be ready to stand asz Alpha. I have only the dudes to do and maybe add a couple of special ships that are linked to missions, but either way, I'll be making the map soon. It would really be nice to finish this plug-in, as I have sequals in mind already (!).

Thanks mate! Don't worry about the ResEdit and VisBits. I have already been told by another developer (Draco) that he can help me with those aspect. With you, our checker and additional tester, all we need now is a graphics dude and we'll be truly up and running.
You really should get on AIM, so that I can transfer files very easily and quickly to you, unless you have a better suggestion.
I'll try and set up a small webboard for us so we can talk privately altogether. I'll get onto it soon.

I try really hard to keep instant messaging out of my life; my responses wouldn't be instant in any event, since I'm a busy married guy. A better idea might involve uploading files to a subdirectory of my website. But we'll work that out. Let me know - either via email or here on the boards - about the website you're setting up.

I already have a programmer, that's fine. I figured out how to do VisBits yesterday.
I've made everything up to the systems. We have 32 ships, almost all with their own graphics (borrowed). I've made at least 30 systems so far and that's only for one government. I hope this is gonna happen, cos it's going good.

So far I've done 98 systems, and at lest 130 spobs. It's looking good, as I have 2 certain governments to go and a few little criminal planets. I just tried the unfinished Alpha, with a chunk of galaxy missing and no missions. It was so buggy, but that's fine. Also, I have a bit of a problem - the EVO Override is, well - overriding. My plug. The outfit names of both are mingling, to make it gibberish, and some Miranu outfits are after mine. What should I do?

Make sure that the oütf resource IDs in the plug match with those in Override. If you need to, make extra (empty, unavailable) outfits to override the Miranu ones you're seeing. Also, make sure you have the proper str and dësc numbers in the plug, as otherwise EV:O might output gibberish. Hope this helps solve your problem ...

I know Galactica is a game, I have it, but this has NOTHING to do with it apart from the name, which I thought of before I even knew that Galactica™ existed. Still, no sueing, no money comes out of this labour.
I'll try and AIM you MX, but I would like to see a sample of any of your graphics first, if you can.
Time to start work again. The systems are almost finished, so we're gonna start on the missions soon...
Is EVO: Galactica still going? Gav never responded to my last e-mail a couple of weeks ago and as you can see no one has been posting in this topic. I also haven't seen Gav around on the boards these past couple of weeks either.
