I have Resedit 2.0.3 and I can figure out how to read more than just the basic mission description. Please help.

You need the templates to be able to make any sense out of the resource files. Look around in the folder of whichever EV the file is from and find a file with a ResEdit icon called "templates." Then open it up and copy the TMPL resource into the file you want to read. You can also probably find the templates in any plug-ins you may happen to have.

You can also paste the TMPLs into the ResEdit Preferences file, so you can reed resources in plugs without TMPLs in them!

However, this can cause problems if you want to edit both Escape Velocity and EV Override plugins.

To solve that problem, make two preferences files. One for EV and one for EVO, and put the one you want to use in the Preferences folder. (make sure you use the right name)
------------------ NovaTools are coming.
I suggest using ev edit for the plugins or at least starting it with that because it can install TMPL resources into it.
------------------ "If you cannot find me how can you destroy me?"
but dont use ev edit to make the plugin - it ruins them quite quickly. I recomend EVO Developers Map to replace the GUI system placement bit.

My own solution is to copy the EV templates into the preferences file and intstall EVO templates into plug files as needed or work with an open file that already has templates installed. "To each his dagnab blue-eyed own."
