I read the Nova bible but I am still unclear about one thing. Can you show an animation right before you hyperspace jump? For instance any of you who have seen the Sci-Fi show Farscape, how the laviathan starts to glow before starburst. If you havn't seen the show (slap your hands), imagine a ship with a healthy bump map on it. Then right before it jumps the cracks start to glow, the glow grows with intensity untill the ship is practically a glowing blob. Then it jumps. Copuld the type of effect be done in EVNova?

I think you can create animations before and after jumps, but I have a suspiction that they may be played on landing too. We'll just wait and see...

You can indeed specify a set of graphics to be an animation, and you are right, animations are played upon landing, taking off, and before and after hypering. Of course, when you land, the animation will play from start to finish, and on take-off it will be reversed, and the same is true of entering and leaving hyperspace.
