If text could be exported from a resource fork, could you export graphics as well?

I have a problem, which i don't see as being very hard to solve...if you know how to program...

You see, I need to get about 400 pictures from a resource file (EV and EVO's to be exact), but there's no real way to do it except tedious cutting and pasting into a graphics program then saving that individual picture. This may not seem very hard, but try doing it 400 times. Now think it over!

My question is simple: if you can export text from a resource file, why not graphics as well? Perhaps into a neater format as well, such as .jpg, .tiff, or something that is platform independent. Is this possible? If so, how much work would it entail? Could someone please, please, PLEASE make a program to do this?

Thanks.

I'll do it, just wait a bit.

Doesn't sound terribly hard for anyone with a working knowledge of the Resource manager APIs.

It works, well enough anyway.

**Awesome. You rock ThorPrime...you're doing NovaBurst, right? Why don't you implement this feature into that program? It might come in handy sometime, you never know!

By the way, out of curiosity, is it Carbonized? (I know you used REALBasic)

Thanks so much, man.

which one? NovaBurst is. That extractor isn't. But i could upload a carbon one if you want it.

as for an extraction feature in NovaBurst. I think it would be easier just to add a link to this utility on my website.
