Im a first time develper and I need detailed help on making EVO plugs with ResEdit- system creation, making ships and weapons, mission strings, the works. so leave a reply or send info to vbnyteshade@hotmail.com. thanks

I find ResEdit easy enough to do most things, you need to get the resource templates to use it. You can get them off of the EVO site, and they also come with some plugs, like Magma. I usually use EV-Edit to do the systems, but I've heard it screws up plugs. There is probably some better graphical system editor out there.

the best thing for systems (and spöbs) is the evo developer's map, though it's been a long time since i've tried to find it online. aside from that, i use resedit almost exclusively, though sometimes i use mission control. i'd suggest that you get the evo bible (i'd suggest the annotated edition, but it doesn't have anything on 1.0.2's new features), and maybe some of the r&r; stuff, if it's still there (www.sutherland-studios.com.au). but really, the bible and resedit are all you need, and going that way gives you the most control

"The Beginner's Guide to ResEdit for EV" from the add-ons section of the archives here at AmbrosiaSW.com is the ticket. It contains full instruction for all EV resources; it has not been updated for EV:O but most of the resources are the same and the principles are identical for both games.
