The graphic contest is over! The submissions have been judged, and the places have been awarded!!! Go to (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/nocternal_supremacy/graphic/gindex.html")http://homepage.mac....hic/gindex.html(/url) And check em out!! Phew. this has been a long, annoying and very painful ordeal! but i still loved it! I worked hard, made the site, and tried to update the site as much as I could (which was not very much ) anyway, congratulations to the winners, and the prizes are below. I know they are cheap...but thats a reflection on the giver

Wow, I had no idea my old junky Rebel Dreadnought would win second place. Glad to hear the news, though.
We'll have to have another graphics competition like this sometime soon.

Hey Skyblade, is that ship avilable for download to put into our EV games? I'd really like ta have dat! Too bad, it's probably slow though.

I just wanted to say, for the record, I subitted my entries at about 3 pm on the 8th. Apparently that was too late.
I'll post them in the image gallery sometime soon...
------------------
I also missed the deadline, except at 12:something AM on Sept 8 (EST). I posted the entry on the Image Gallery on the 8th, slightly modified.
------------------ (temporary vacancy)
I also missed the deadline, although that had more to do with actually finding interesting people to talk to at my college than with any slowness of submission; my intended entry isn't finished yet, and probably won't be for a while.

I could create sprites and such for the graphic if you want, since I already plan on using the ship in one of my Rebel Graphic Sets sometime in the future...
Yeap, the ship is pretty slow.
Heh, it seems I have a knack for "killing" my images. Never guessed I would get runner up in advanced...

I guess it's not just me, then. I thought we had through the 8th.
Let's see...

I guess I should have asked him to be more specific.
Been moving and roofing; couldn't get anything out in time :frown:
Good job AZ, you did a nice job organizing the contest, even though it was kinda hectic in the beginning.

To help me finish it faster, I will not be slowed down by making ship graphic- I will use the ones from Nova. ------==========------ Approving someone else's work is not the same as creating it yourself- Bill Watterson, Author of Calvin and Hobbes

The beginning?! The beginning! it was hectic throughout the whole thing! First off it was how it was going to be categorized, then it was problems with prizes/sizes, and now its deadlines. To tell you people who did not get it in on the "deadline" I had just summed up the contest (website, judging, etc) on the morning of the8th, and i really did not want to re-adjust the site, re-judge, and re-load the site onto the web. It gets very tedious, espically since their was a sudden influx of entries right on the 8th in the afternoon. I mean, come on people, you had 4 weeks to do it, and it does not take more than 8 hours to do one ship, school or no. And to those who did not make it, I AM sorry, im not just saying it. I was just too damn lazy to update the website at 10:00, and as a result of the apathy, your hard work did not get in. I would re-judge, but I think that would be unfair for those who have won to be bumped down. I am just glad the ordeal is over. Its one more weight off my shoulder.
nwa- "killing"? how? your figher was good, great texturing, though simple complexity.

Ah, I've won advanced category. Thanks.
We've had a graphics competition of our own for some time now in the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/Forum13/HTML/000281.html")Engineering Dept.(/url), and it really needs more participants. Consider yourself welcome to submit your images there.

That's what I was referring to.
