im at level 12 or 13 or something, and recently, ive noticed that goblins will run away from me if they see me kill another enem or if they are injured. this didnt happen at the start of the game, so im assuming its some kind of stat for the character. does this happen with other monsters when you get more levels, or is it just goblins/other wimpy creatures?
It depends on how much and how fast you do damage to a creature. Almost any creature will run under the right condition.

The Guardian runs from me when I beat him up enough. I back the little coward into a corner and finish him off.

It is fun to waltz in on a Goblin Kid-Roasting party or into the camp just north of Fantrima and kill one and watch them all scatter... The little wimps.

Not all the monsters run. The undead will hack away until you flee, you die or they die. And some of the tougher monsters, Cyclops(?), Liliths(?), Mind Hunters(?), will not flee. This type of information is included in my Garendall Beastiary, which is almost finished.

that bestiary will be so useful, thankyou for putting it together
I've seen Cyclops and Lilliths flee, you just have to kill them fast enough. There are a few magical weapons out there that will make that easier.

Really? I've let 5 or 6 of each attack me at once before I start swinging. I'd kill 4 and the last 1 wouldn't run. With (Dam 21-53 +129) I could kill 2 Liliths at once if it were possible. Liliths have 75 health. I'll try again with a bow this time. I don't get my strength bonus with bows. Also, what weapon do you use, sanehatter?

i was using the Elven Bow of Destruction for a good while, then I discovered the War Axe of Misery and switched to it.
I used the Elven Bow of Destruction and the War Axe of Misery for the Liliths and Cyclops again. They continue to attack me even if some of their comrades die in an eye blink. But, I think your heroe's level may also affect their fear, too. I'm level 25. What level are you?
"I'm level 25. What level are you?" I'm at like level 15, how on earth did u get to 25, thats like 5 million more XP, litterally!!!

This is the worst case of grave-digging I've ever seen...and that's sad.
