I'm not sure where to put this: here or just help, so if any of ya mods want to move it, I won't feel offended ;), but here goes anyway:
I am rendering this scene that takes a day to complete in bryce, but my computer keeps on going to sleep in the middle of it. I think bryce does no rendering during sleep, so does anybody know how to turn off the sleep functuon in 9.1. Btw, I don't think it matters, but I am using an iMac DV Thanks!

energy saver control panel. just turn off system and harddrive sleep, but leave display sleep on so you wont have it on the screen the whole time...

hmmm I don't tink it's there... I think I turned it off. Thanks though!
Well, if you're doing something that uses the processor at all, (rendering a landscape, 'playing' a game, downloading something, etc., etc.) your computer shouldn't go to sleep. Your display, on the other hand, will. A sure way to find out whether it's your display or your computer, is to 'jiggle' your mouse. If your display crackles, and eventually warms up, it's just the display. If nothing happens, it's your computer.
At least that's been my expierance, but I should point out that I haven't used iMacs or 9.x much.
Another thing I should point out, is that I only sound like I know what I'm talking about.

Ok, I have the energy saver control panel, but it tells me that I also need the energy saver extension, which I don't have. Could somebody please email me (hpugh@pacbell.net) the extension? thank you!

Bryce renders while the computer is sleeping (I think). To speed up rendering use the "render to disk" under the file menu.
