Well, there are already several STEV's released or in production. You may want to look at some of the others before continuing yours, and make sure you aren't doing things that havn't already been done...

Well, if there's any room in this, I would love to help! I thought I was working on a project, but my partner dropped out, so I"m anxiously looking for a project, and I love Star Trek, so if there's any room, count me in. (I do models ๐Ÿ™‚ )

For the record, there are 3-4 Star Trek plug-ins being developed. Myself and Metzen have true working versions out, mine is in beta with missions being de-bugged and written/programmed. Metzen's has very nice graphics, and last I heard, he was working on missions. I haven't any further info other than that. Whitestar had his Star Trek plug (Whitestar Rising) in development for a few years now, and I helped him out with a galaxy about a year back, and haven't heard much since. Zeta also had one going, but I'm not sure if that's burining in space or not.

I would give you links to screenshots, but Geocities is f*cked up and snapzpro 2 needs to be registered...

As an FYI for the time being my version of STEV/O has been abandoned till I can sort through some issues here at home.

Well seeing that I am a Star Trek freak and I would like to help count me in. By the way I was wondering since its going on to the EVN that will you beable to make the Prometheus seperate and be 3 ships like in Voyager?? You know the only reason I ask this is because the Bible says how ship parts can move if firing so if you could trick the computer to think that when you fire the ship will look like 3 but maybe still be one?

I would be happy to help, I don't knowexsactly now what your wplu-in is like (ihaven't gotten to look at your site yet) But I would bhe glad to help in what ever EV game you're planning to make the star trek plug for, I'm not so great with star trek itself, But I would enjoy helping with the building the plugin.I would be happy to create whatever someone told me to, even if I don't understand the story behind it.

You will be able to have a ship change into another when a weapon is fired. So you simply have the Prometeus launch 1 part of the ships and change into another. Then that part launchs the last component. Viola you have 3 ships from 1. Easy to do.

The weapon firing animation only changes the ships graphic for two seconds at a time before it reverts to its original state. However, using the totally excellent shรคn resource, the ship sprite can change depending on whether or not you have launched any craft from your vessel. It would be exactly like the Prometheus in that respect.

Oh, and I've signed up for the boards, but there are no posts outside the developers section, and no members that aren't developers!
