Ok i agree with many people about ResEdit but i find it a little intimidating some times even though i have been using it to make a really big plug in called the Sin Wars which has been in development for around eleven months but yes ResEdit is good for every thing but personally i use EV-Edit to make the galaxy and the systems the only real problem i'm having is with the sounds and music can some one tell me how to do those???

It can probably be found on the EV or Override addons page, but you ~really~ don't want to inflict it upon yourself.

I tried it, and making an alias of Override Data 2 named EV Data and putting that in the folder doesn't work. It needs the actual EV Data alias. I'd like to know where to get the EVO Developer's map ( I only have EV Developer's Map)

I've gotten this to work by: 1: Duplicate EV Data 2: Open the duplicate file in ResEdit 3: Open EVO Data 1 and 2 4: Copy and paste relevant resources from EVO Data 1 and 2 to the duplicate EV Data (you don't need such things as picts, sounds, spins, etc.) 5: Save changes to the EVO-ified EV Data and quit Resedit 6: Place the EVO-ified EV Data in Schmelta's folder and you're good to go.
This process works equally well with TCs, BTW.
Remember that the plug-ins produced by Schmelta-V are EV plug-ins. You'll need to chenage them to EVO plugs for them to work with EVO. While you're at it, you should probably go in with Resedit and the EVO Formula Calc to clean up the mission descs.
You can get the Formula Calc at the same place you can get the Developer's Map. Which brings us to the second part of your question.

You can get EVO Developer's Map at the following link:

I believe Pontus's tools can be found (url="http://"http://members01.chello.se/warlordpontus/ev/tools.html")here(/url). EVO Developer's Map has some useful new features, such as graphical spöb placement, but I've found it a bit less stable than EV Developer's Map, so you might want to stick with the procedure described in the previous post.

It's amazing how often people duplicate the above posts. Maybe people should read the topic more often ;). (No offense, I've seen it happen a few times, and it's kinda funny to see the exact same info right under itself)

I think that somewhere along the line the topic got lost. Don't you?

No. We're discussing editing tools for EVO. That's not off topic at all.
