I Need Help with PICTS

I am using RES-Edit for the plugins, Mechanisto for graphics, and make spin for the spin resource. The problem is that neither res-edit or make spin will accept the mechanisto graphics. On make spin it says "could not load sprite map" and on res edit nothing shows up in the PICT box. Whats wrong and how do I fix it?

Try just copying the rendered image into a pict resource. That ought to work.

I tried that, didnt work, any other Ideas?

Make spďn requires that all 36 turning frames be in a PICT Resource (not a PICT file). Usually when you save something it gives you some Format options. I don't use Mechanisto, so I'm not sure what the setup is, but if its anything like Infini-D then there should be a "Format:" with a Pop-up menu following on the bottom when you save your rendering. Choose PICT Resource from the pop-up menu.

If you already did all that, and it won't work, try giveing Make spďn more memory. It chokes on big things. (lets see, I gave Make spďn... 5,000k minimum and 50,000k preferred)

No format option on mechanisto

Open the image up with whatever program you have that will let you view it.
Take a screen shot of it (cmd-shift-4)
A pict file named "picture 1" will be created on your startup volume with your picture in pict format. Open the pict, copy and paste into resedit.

You will need to take several screen shots in EV sized pieces, or get some software like Photoshop to trim the picts.

I thought a screen-shot was cmd-shift-3. Doesn't cmd-shift-4 send the screen to a printer or something? I've always used cmd-shift-3 to take a picture of the screen and save it to a file.

I think 4 is to the clipboard instead of a file...
