Erm, well... starting mapquest guesses after looking around a bit Kodiac, maybe?
**
It also has THE biggest coast guard base, for the people in New York who claime they have it. I'll try not to brag ;), but we also have a rocket launch site here.
Okay, here's one:
------------------------
Szantuon Szantuon used to be a huge nature reserve, when the Tvana came it turned into another techno colony. It is now a powerful planet under the Tvana, and is one of the most energy rich planets in their control. As of such, most of the energy companies are based here.
The "Lightning Bolt" bar is gleaming white with beige decals. You notice disparagingly that there are no human waiters. They are all computerized now.

Here's another one:
------------------- Kvertang Kvertang is one of the oldest Chutad conquest. Nothing is known of the race that used to live on it. All that remains are a few ruins of great cities left by the Chutad over the years. Kvertang is a desert world, where only the hardy survive.
Kvertang bar is right on the fringes of the harsh desert and settled land. It is full of Chutad soldiers, enjoying a brief stay at home.

Waddya think?
Exactally what I think about all of them- I like it.

Anyone who has posted a planet desc will get a pers unless you ask me not to give you one. Please don't ask for a certain ship- you will all get something similar to a kestral. I will use the name that you posted the desc under. I also acknowlegde you in the readme. I love giving bribes to all of you! Suggestions for another incentive if you give me more than, say, ten?

Over 10 eh? I'll have to get 9 out soon ;).
------------------ Why must I lose to these idiots? -- Nimzovitch
Okay, here are a few (working on getting that incentive :p):
--------------
Johgreili Johgreili has a pretty awful environment. It is only populated because ComTech wanted a base in thbis area of space. It is now the primary cargo storage and directing area in this sector of space for ComTech. You have to shove to get through the crowd of people here. Almost all of them are freighter crews.
"The First Mate" looks like it is a converted warehouse. There's enough room to accomodate all the people coming in here.
Bleegum Bleegum is a relatively respectable planet for the Bonzai. It does however have a huge crime problem, mafia running rampant, and it's dangerous even in the spaceport itself.
"The Happy Pickpocket" has so far made an awful impression on you. So far 20 credits are missing from your pocket, and you have already stopped several attempts on your baggage.
-----------------
That's it for now. This puts me up to 4 planets, I'd better write 7 more...
Here are a few more:
-------------
Hemto Hemto is a populous world of UPS. Despite a recent plague it still enjoys a healthy amount of tourists who come to admire their many breathtaking sights. the sights include the canyons of Clydmore, and the Jikto forest. You probably can't afford the airboat tour though.
Hemto bar is a breath-taking affair with paintings of the Canyons on one side, and pictures of plague victims on the other.
Jikktaan The only Dyval outpost in this region Jikktaan is a scared place. The government is employing harsh measures to protect themselves. Meanwhile the people go about their daily lives.
Dyval bar is patrolled by security guards. The patrons give exasperated looks at them.
How about twenty?? That would be enough to earn a really big ship right???
------------
OK, here are some more descriptions:
Proidol Proidol is very strange, strange in the fact that at night acidic liquids condense on the roofs of buildings and roads then slowly eats away at whatever maerial it lands on. The streets are empty at night and no one dares to go outside during the night. The acidic liquids evaporate in the morning making it safe to go outside. (Bar) You notice the especially thick roofing the bar has as you walk in. The bartender tells you that they are closing in a few minutes and reminds you to get home before the acidic liqids begin condensing.
Iod Iod The atmosphere on Iod is deadly and filled with toxins and swirling acids, any life form outside without a protective suit would suffocate and melt away. Because the atmophere is so toxic, all the civilizations have large shielding domes projected over them, in the domes they have their own safe environment. If one the generators that power the dome projectors were to break down, the results would be devastating. no bar
I will continue to work toward my 20 description goal, I hope your plug turns out to be a hit!!!
------------------ Hey Andrew, how much do those Karma Sticks cost again?
Nogradi
Nominally held by ComTec, Nogradi has been semi-independent for many years, while its inhabitants have steadily evolved away from the galactic norm under the influence of the unusual spectrium of Nogradisol, the planet's sun. Very few off-worlders have ever visited Nogradi, but rumours abound of strange telekinetic and trans-temporal powers. As you walk around the warm streets in the baking savannah sun, you wonder how such rumours could have developed - the people seem friendly and pleasant, like the citizens of half a hundred worlds in ComTec space.
(Bar desc) This dark, cool cellar is where the Nogradi gather when the heat is unbearable. Perhaps you have had too much of the sun yourself - the mind plays tricks, or maybe its just the light. After all, that glass could not possibly have slid down the bar to refill itself.
------------------ M A R T I N • T U R N E R
Okay, here's working on the 5 I need to get over 10!:
-------------------
Beeblebrot The planet of Beemblebrot is a small forest world that ComTech uses to produce most of their industrial supplies. As you land you notice a small banner along the side of one of the factories proclaiming "Join the union!"
The Beemblebrot bar is just a mess-hall in one of the many factories. Apart from a chemical smell, it's quite nice.
Jekwan The planet of Jekwan used to be a secluded planet full of a nomadic people. Than, the Chutad came. Now it is a planet with no character. The Chutad erased all.
This bar has only stale bread, and warm water. You don't want to try its "meat surprise".
I'll do the other 3 later...
3 more!:
Cleqwer VI Cleqwer VI was a normal ComTech world until they started weapons testing there. Due to a few colossal mistakes it was made barren, and only radiation testers are here.
"The Blasted Space" is a hole in the wall bar. Or at least it would if there were any walls left.
Cleqwerian Cleqwerian orbits the planet of Cleqwer VI. Despite its out of the way location, it has a burgeoning gambling trade sponsored by ComTehc (they make the slots). Millions of tourists a year flock here to partake in the slot machine wonder.
"The Lonely Money-Loser" bar is the cheapest bar on the moon. You notice as you come in, that even the bar-tender is playing the slots.
Qwaanzei Qwaanzei is one of the most deeply religious worlds in Dyval space. It is home to the order of Salriek which preaches deep meditation every day of the week except Tuesdays. That's ping-pong night.
Qwanzei meditation center is the only place near the spaceport that resembles a bar. You notice that several people are meditating on ping-pong tables.
-----------------------
All right! I'm over 10! I guess I'll work on getting over 20
I must not have nearly as much time as didlysquat. :frown:
---------------
Here's another: Check the spelling
Jahl
Jahl is one of ComTec's main worlds when it comes to trading. Jahl is one of the main trade stops for ComTec and is convieniantly(spelling) located near the center of the galaxy. (Bar) The Trade Stop is well known for it's great food and incredible picture gallery. The picture gallery is incredible and shows how far ComTec has come since The Great War.
(edit)OK, that makes 8, 12 to go until I meet my goal!!(/edit) ------------------ Hey Andrew, how much do those Karma Sticks cost again?

Hey! I have plenty of things to occupy my time. Such as, er. Um. Buffy! Yeah. Great episode tonight! Seriously, I just set a goal of at least 2 a post and think them up. In fact... I'll have 1 or 2 right now...
---------
Grugen Grugen is a Tvana planet, through and through. The entire planet is white and sanitary. The human-looking port workers at the port are probably androids. That's Grugens major export.
"The Android" has a robotic bar tender, robotic waitress's, robotic jukeboxes, and robotic regulars. You avoid the robotic drunk on the floor as you enter.
Okay, that's the only one I can think of right now. I'll have more later. My score so far is: 12

Oh, I'm not that great at seting goals.

Heh. Until recently I couldn't. Now I can (except in the area of HW, I usually just end up waiting until the last hour before I go to bed to do it). I would do the 8 I need to do, but I'm tired.

Hey, we've got something in common!! hehe.
OK, I've got another one:
Sadoi Tvana tried to take Sadoi from Dyal in a large battle between Tvana's advanced computer controlled ships and Dyal's human operated ships. The battle was won incredibly by Dyal, Tvana's ships were outnumbered six to one. Sadoi has an incredible museum filled with pictures and object from the battle, they even managed to capture a badly damaged Tvana ship and have been studying it and learning about Tvana's advanced computers. (BAR) As you walk into the bar a man passes by you and says to his friend, "Wow, that museum is incredible!" You look around and see the gift shop wich has a sign reading, "Own your own piece of a real Tvana fighter that crashed down here on Saoi!!-only *19.99"
That took one a while to think up, hope you like!!
(11 until I hit my goal of 20!!)
Wow! A lot have come since when I was able to last get on the internet (stupid brothers!). Try to beat the number I've currently made- ~130 Of course it is my plugin, so I should have more than anyone else. (Not to mention that I've been working on them for more than three months). diddleysquat and Capt. Editor: whoever has more gets a better ship! Well, maybe I should make you guys fight too hard

diddleysquat is beating me, I'll have to start working on some more.
Giosa
Giosa has a very humid climate, everyone stays indoors as much as they can. The buildings all have large air conditioning units that run nearly all hours of the day, everybody relies on these units to keep the air indoors from condensing on all their walls and furniture. Giosa has a big problem with the humidity and most of the puildings without air conditioning are ruined and soaked with water.
(bar) The Beer Hut is well known for the beer that they brew in the basement. You here it's excelent.
------------- That's 10, 10 more 'till I reach my goal of 20!!
