I used makespin to spin my set of pics.I checked the masks. All the pics were very nice. I put them correctly in a plug. I loaded the plug. The ship was very nice on its Test Drive.(EXCEPT FOR EVERY TIME I TURNED THE SHIP TO A RIGHT ANGLE,THE SHIP WAS CUT OFF!) WHY ME????????????? :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: {Its not a problem with makespin,its a problem with the game}

it actually sounds like a bad mask (ive had to deal with this before, really fun) and if your masks are being made by makespin, it IS a problem with makespin. you should render your masks (if you're using a 3D program).

Make a new shader (save it when your finished for future reference, but you probably shouldn't save your scene file with this on. Otherwise you'll have to go back and readjust everything). Shader Attributes: Base Color Hue Angle = 0 Saturation = 0 Value = 100% Alpha = 1.00 Finish Diffuse Component = 1.00 Specular Component = .80 Shininess = 50.00 Highlight Style = Plastic Gets Shadows = unchecked No Shading = checked Alpha Multiplier = 1.00 Vary Density = unchecked Edge Density = 2.00
Don't mind the style of writing, comes from making avara levels... I got this shader with Mechanisto Helper 1.1.0 by Vincent Bernard. It's always worked for me. Just apply it to every component of whatever your rendering, then render it like you did the spďn.

or . . .
take your pretty spin graphic picture, open it in graphic converter, apply 'threshhold' with a very very low setting so anything that is not black goes white, save it as your mask file, and thats it! (you can use Photoshop too, but GC is free :))

Well, not free. It's $35 shareware.

As diddlysquat said, GC isn't free. And using the shader is better if you have a lot of detail you want to get in or a very dark ship. The last may or may not be a problem, as it depends on how good GC is. I use photoshop.

Is the size of your spin graphic a multiple of 8 on all sides? I use makespin too and had the same problem once.

Though it isn't free, it is a lot cheaper than PS. I mean PS is $600 (or there abouts). While GC is $35. Now PS is considerably better. Probably worth about $600. But the average person can't afford it. So they'll take the program that's $565 cheaper (IMO, that's what I'm doing).
