What do I need to put sounds into a plug? How is it done?
------------------
Well, if you don't have ResEdit and a sound-editing program like (url="http://"http://www.riccisoft.com/soundeffects/")SoundEffects(/url), you'll need to get those first. Once you have them, use the sound program to convert your sound to an11.1Hz, 8 bit, mono sound so you can use it with EV/O. Then, open up your plug, paste it in, and give it the proper ID number. If you're replacing a sound from EV/O, open up the EV/Override Sounds file to figure out the ID of the sound you're replacing. If it's a whole new sound, just give it and unused ID (keep in mind that if it's a weapon, it must have an ID of 200-263). If it IS a weapon you're making, you then go and set the "sound" field to be 0-63. (Just subtract 200 from the sound's actual ID.) And there you go! Let me know if you need more info. -david-

You can also record sounds with the Sound control panel, provided with your system software. Simply open the control panel and record a new sound. Give it a name. The sound file will be inside the system suitcase in the System Folder.

Thank you. BTW, why would somebody from the States choose little old ornithorhynchus as his user name?
