Quick tip: lay off the :Ds bit. the simple should do just fine for most cases, save the for when you're really, really happy about something.
About plug-ins, here's a few tips...
1. Download the EVO Bible, Annotated Edition. In your standard EVO Folder, there should be a folder named, "plugin developers ƒ." Open it, and you'll find a set of res-edit templates. Paste these into any new plug-in before you start.

I didn't read the FAQ when I was a newbie either. I didn't even know it existed. I jus hopped right in after a bit of board watching, and started posting. I wish I had read the FAQ, though. I posted some stuff that sounds really stupid now that I look back on it.
