Very nice for me I'll wait a bit before downloading (I've not very much internet time left)
------------------ M'enfin! Y'a personne qui parle français ici?
Well, I'm eventually downloading it. Will it be EVC compatible? And to stay in compatibility, you should (politely) ask Matt Burch what will be in the EVN pilot file, so that your PFE may be compatible with EVN.

I've tested a bit the PFE 3.0, and it's fantastic! amazing! quick! but there are still some problems:
Warning! My remarks are know to upset software developpers! read at your own risk!
: PFE should use EV(O,N) data files (if necessary duplicated in a separate folder) so as to be lighter to download and compatible with all EVs. It should be all the more easy that you have kept the same IDs for the EVO-origin ressources
: Some problems with the Fuel bar : I opened a pilot file which had a crescent warship wiht 2 fuel tanks, and has 700 units of fuel, and PFE shows an empty fuel bar, as it is more than "normal" 500. Furthermore when I modify it I can't get back to 700 (either via the bar or via the number box). Here I suggest that PFE takes count of the fuel expansions, make such limitations only in beginner mode and in expert mode shows a bar with 2000 units of fuel (more than the upper limit of EV(O), 15 jumps (miranu courrier) + 2 fuel tanks), just indicating the max amount the ship can have and allow the number field to have up to 32767 units of fuel (we can't specify more fuel capacity in the shďp ressource of EV(O) data).
: I hope the final version will have an "about the PFE 3.0" in the ? menu, won't it?
: There are some issues when selecting IDs of përs that do not exist (PFE quits), and some other datas outside the normal limits.
: The weapons and outfits available in a ship should be in a more explicit form than "2 128, 1 129" (it took me a while to understand)
: An idea : to toggle to the "expert" mode, we should give a password hidden in the PFE docs
: Quits unexpectandly when seeing MisBits
: Numbers and texts than can be changed should be in a white box, in order to show they can be changed.
: Some problems when selecting changeable texts, then leaving the field (the texts keeps in the selection colour (red for me))
: The PFE should indicate the translation of the legal status, the one that will be written in the file (changeable number*crime tol of the govenment) particularly because it shouldn't be decimal, and the translation of legal status in explicit form (clean, offender, pillar of society )
: Only one, global, progress bar when opening a pilot file (to be more explicit)
: If possible, in the beginner mode, PFE shouldn't show the systems that have disappeared or not already appeared with MisBits, and only show them in grey in expert mode, so as to avoid, if not wanted, to be in a disappeared system
: How can we dominate spöbs ? What is the green arrow that appears when we double-click in a planet ? No, seriously, one should be able to use the basic functions of PFE without reading the docs.
: Will PFE 3.0 allow the edition of ammo?
: File menu is in grey, though we can make quit. Why?
: Cancel button is always in grey. Why?
: In the cargo box, PFE should indicate the remaining cargo space, and limit the cargo to this limit only in beginner mode. When there is only 3 tons left and when we make "buy" with *5, PFE adds no cargo; it should add 3 (in beginner mode of course, it should add 5 in expert mode). PFE shouldn't forget to take count of the escorts when calculating remaining cargo space. There is a strange bug, the first jünk has -256 tons of cargo, and it is accounted in the cargo calculation
: I don't know why, once PFE 3.0 showed me a non-zero rating (after having modified the pilot fot the first time with PFE 3.0, modifiing the cargo); I wanted to check with PFE 2.0 and it told me when I wanted to edit rating : Ťimpossible to obtain character 19929 of "-hexadecimal gibberish-"ť. PFE 3.0 makes weird things on the pilot file
: Up and down arrows of outfit selection window are inverted!
I haven't even tried to open with EVO a modified with PFE 3.0 pilot yet. I fear the results, but I may try.
In the expert mode, PFE should let us do everything we want, but still warn us when it is impossible in beginner mode (cargo space left turn red when it is negative, landing on a spöb that does not exist should be warned, having more fuel than possible should make the fuel bar turn red, etc ) but not with annoying warning messages "are you sure you want to do that /yes - no"), better with things that turn red or texts that shows up in the corner.
Lastly I concentrated on seeing via EVO and PFE 2.0 what PFE 3.0 did when saving a pilot file without changing it. The results are interesting (besides already-related bugs): -The mysterious helian fighter that appears is the second in the pilot file order -the name of the ship is changed to "pilot data". Why?
Now I'll concentrate on editing eveything one by one and checking the results by PFE 2.0 and EVO. Huge work.

Sorry, but I want all others that may test PFE to know what has already been related, so that they won't relate the same thing. I'm glad the "red text" warning has peased you If there's no Beginner-expert mode, it won't be important: beginners will limit themselves to all that does not make anything turn red. I am annoyed with all those programs always asking : "Do you really want to do that/ yes-no". Another thing : PFE should make a behind-the-scene modifiing of the weapons and ammo when we modify outfits that links to weapons and ammo.
P.S.: please avoid to make too much updates of PFE alpha, or I will download every one of them. Try to limit you to one per week, please.
What did I miss about this saving space thing?
