More seriously, I assume you are reffering to the Ferazel Editor(sometimes called Mascot). Download it at (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/ferazel/addons.html")http://www.AmbrosiaS...zel/addons.html(/url) (it should be in the highest rated section), read the instructions and FAQs(on the webboard) and hack away. If you have any other questions, that's what this forum is for.

Hacking is a ResEdit-ish term; MASCOT is too shallow of a tool to hack well. Get ResEdit (a free Apple utility; in multiple spots on the MASCOT FAQ I provide the link), and sift through a file's infrastructure. Once you've peeked in, it's like you've been enlightened about existence or something!
(Now, now, aschaaf, Republicans are people. It just so happens we have an alien life form that those humans support for Prez. If you choose to attack, attack more specifically than a (too?) vast group of people...Dubya, for instance. )

Programmers use ResEdit/Resourcer all the time. For fun, try changing the text in menus and dialogs, changing window/menu/dialog colors, etc, in a ( COPY OF A!! ) program.

Hey, how do you make a spell in MASCOT?? I can't figure it out. Also, how do you make ground that breaks away when fireballed or spinned on?? I'm having real trouble with it.!!!
Also, is there any way through hacking that you can make the sandstorm, density ball, or the tri-fireball (used by bosses) to work for Ferazel? They look SO cool!

I click on them and it doesn't make the tiniest difference! Click on the FG Tiles????
You have to be in Crunch Tile Editing Mode. I don't have MASCOT in front of me now (Everyone Gasps), but its in one of the menus. Maybe Tiles? Once you select Crunch Mode, then try clicking on FG tiles.
