Current Plugs

I'm currently working on Espeidia, A TC for EVO or possibly EVN. The problem is that I keep going back and redoing things, so the project really isn't moving ahead. I pobablly won't have it finished till this time next year or so. Meenwhile check out:

I have TC underway called Nemesis. Right now I'm working on coding the missions, almost everything else is done, nearly done, or being worked on. I try to update my site with news at least once a month, when Nemesis is released as a beta then I'll upload a new site and try to post updates once a week until all the bugs are ironed out and the final version is released.

Oh, I remember seeing those ships in the EV Gallery. They still look just as awesome as they did before. 🙂 I'm looking forward to the plug's release...

I got the same prob. trying to download Reign of the UE, but it goes away if you use explorer instead of netscape.

Hmmm, weird. I remember trying to download that plugin a long time ago using Internet Explorer, (I've used Internet Explorer for the past four years) and I still got all that nasty text. I'll have to try downloading it again sometime soon and see if it works...

It currently maxes out ships, outfits, weapons, planet types, and when finished will max out systems, spobs, and will have over 1,000 missions in four different plugs using my newly-figured-out "mission bit recycling system".

I currently have 3 notebooks filled up with notes - I am putting a lot of plannign in this. It has graphics done by Meowx and Andre Vandle, and when it got closer to Beta I was going to ask Captin Skyblade to do some outfit picts/ weapon sprites. It currently weighs almost 30 MB unstuffed, and will be in development for at least a year. It's being developed for EVO and will be ported to EV, EVN, and hopefully Ares when finished.

I would really appreciate feedback and/or help offers for it.

Frosty the Snow Entity, Mark VI, is still in the beginning stages. (might be Mark VII, lost count of the different versions :-P)

Ford's in the middle of fleshing out the plotline for it, and considering whether to make it a singular or dual storyline. Once the storyline is finished, and the conceptualization for the universe is finished, work on the actual plug-in will begin. With luck, the sixth time will be the charm... 😛

Though not technically a TC, Frosty completely re-writes the EVO storyline and pretty much changes a lot of the universe; think of it as a perspective conversion...

Anyway, yeah. 😛

how interesting. the council was created solely for plug-in developers, yet went largely untouched, with the exception of beyond the crescent. but now suddenly there are several council-oriented plugs in development.

War Without End work is slow but proceeding. i did not like my original story and did some major reworking. i'm just now starting to code the missions. there will (hopefully) be three versions, one for each strand.

I'm currently working on a small add on plug to the regular EVO universe called Phantom. Basically it adds ships, systems, outfits, and missions based off of my currently in-progress novel called "Dragerron." But since "Dragerron" doesn't have (or will have only a little later on) space travel, this plug was only inspired by my book. Its currently still in alpha and is only being tested with most of the ships and outfits done and with none of the missions done. My alpha testers are only a few and thats all fine and good with me (fewer people to respond to when they send me feedback). Also there's some tounge-in-cheek stuff in the plug based on the Star Wars RPG Holonet web board forum called "Chaos & Miscellania." Hopefully the Errant Spork, and several mission strings dealing with the exploits of her crew (there are many and all of them are beyond CRAZY). The No Need to be Sober cantina is already in the plug. I'll also hopefully replace all the graphics that I got off the net for free (which means others can to and I want original graphics as well as great missions and story lines :D) with original grpahics (some I'll do myself, but others I'll need the help of an experienced 3D artist or I'll wait till Metzens's Strata 3D/Vision 3D tutorial comes out and I can then learn more about how to do great graphics myself). So, basically I expect that Phantom will be out in a few months, or longer if it expands out into a partial TC or even total TC (which is quite possible).

I also recently adopted "The Silent Ruins of Earth" - better know as the "Incomplete Plug". It needs to be developed a bit more now that I took a longer look at it, but it has a lot of potential. Not as much as Dark Destiny, through.

How do you recycle mission bits like that? The normal limit is around 500 and me 'n Captain Skyblade will want a lot of missions so if you'd tell us how it would be helpful. If the desc is a bit long send it to daveburgis@excite.com . Thanks.

Ok, heres how it works:

Plug 1: Mission 1: sets bits 1& 2, 2 must be clear
Plug 1: Mission 2: sets bits 3 & 4, 2 must be set, 4 must be clear
Plug 1: Mission 3: sets bits 5 & 6, 4 must be set, 6 must be clear

Have the person take out plug 1 and put in plug 2.

Plug 2: Mission 1: clears bits 1 & 2, 2 must be set
Plug 2: Mission 2: clears bits 3 & 4, 2 must be clear, 4 must be set
Plug 2: Mission 3: clears bits 5 & 6, 4 must be clear, 6 must be set

You just recycled mission bits 1-6. You can do this because in the CompBitSet(X) Fields, if you att 1000 to the mission bit it will clear it. (a value of 1100 will clear bit 100 upon completion).

Two notes: While this works on paper, I haven't had a chance to test it yet. If someone does I would be interested in the results.

Also, this would theretically eleminate the game constraint on missions and mission bits.

I'm making a small* EVO TC, called NGC-1365. NGC-1365 isn't an empty system, it's a galaxy. I'm not sure what NGC means, but NGC-1365 is a real galaxy, so don't say the name's wrong. I just started making it, so don't expect it to come out any time soon.

Also, I need someone to do sounds. Or if someone has a plug that they'd let me use the sounds from, I'd appreciate that, too. Or if someone knows where a free/shareware sound program is, that's even better. My E.mail's cushingd@hotmail.com
