A few of you may remember my EV:O plug-in, (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/retribution.html")Retribution(/url). Even fewer of you may be wondering why the heck it hasn't been released yet, when it's been in progress since October. Well, I'm about to explain
The plug is basically finished. All resources are completed, all missions are done, ships are finalized, the whole bit. The problem is that the plug just doesn't work, and I have no clue why. I had asked someone to look at it, but he's gone incommunicado for the past few months, so I'm having to ask around for help All I need is someone to help me iron out the kinks in the plug. Again, the resources are all finished; there's just a bug or two I need help finding. If anyone is willing and able to help me fix this beast, please e-mail me ASAP. I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

Hm, I may not be the smartest, but have you tried Plugchecker? Helps a lot... If you already have... uh.. then I dunno
------------------ Arrrrrrr, matey!!!!
I would be willing to have a look at it, but not the sหst or spรถbs resources (too time consuming). Nevertheless I may nail your bug and fix it or narrow the search for it down pretty significantly.

I haven't been able to locate an EV:O version of Plugchecker yet... :frown:
And thanks, Metzen... Check your inbox later tonight!

shayborg: Not that I'm likely to have the answer, but can you explain here precisely how the plug doesn't work? Do dudes not appear when they should, or are missions not following one another in the right causal fashion, or are escorts plundering your cargo and flying away laughing (or something equally irritating)? I know Metzen's going to take a look at the plug, but perhaps someone else might have once dealt with the problems you're facing.

Really? I thought it worked fine for both... (It does...)

The first mission comes and functions -- and then the second mission just doesn't appear, although it has 100% probability. I checked mission bits, spรถbs, everything I thought of, but nothing seemed to work :frown:

OK. As soon as I can find the plug (it somehow seems to have gotten lost!) I'll try it Thanx Kwanzar.
What editor did you use to make the missions? Check out my topic "Frustration at the hands of EV-Edit" and see if it helps. If not, e-mail it to me and I'll have a go at troubleshooting
------------------ The last time I was on this board, the price of dumb questions was really high.
Did you try changing to a different mission bit? This isn't a problem I've personally run into, but the other times this sort of bug has showed up on the board, that's been the reccommended fix.

I still say try plugchecker first. If it can't fix a problem (or locate it for this matter) THEN go on to 'manual' inspection. Saves a lot of work!
just tryin to help
StarStrafer: for the missions, I used good old Mission Control.
wyvern: Yes. No effect. :frown:
TIE: Thanks for the help... If Metzen and Anatole can't solve it, you're next.
Blackbeard: I will try to use Plugchecker. I had used the version on the EV add-ons page, but it doesn't support EVO. I found the web site, though, and the version there does support EVO. Now, as soon as I rebuild the plug.... (I couldn't find it anywhere. :frown:)
