For those interested, I've begun posting working builds of a graphical pilot file editor at: (url="http://"http://www.rit.edu/~sth8884/EVOstuff/PFE3.0/")http://www.rit.edu/~...VOstuff/PFE3.0/(/url)
Please note that the current build isn't even in alpha yet, so use at your own risk. It should correctly edit 80% of the pilot file attributes, but I'm not making any guantees at this point. Also, please don't ask, "Why won't it do X?" because I'll ignore you. Wait until alpha builds before you start complaining about what it does/doesn't do.
That having been said, I'd like input on the look and feel of the interface.

Please advise. I tried to maintain the look and feel of in game EVO.
Yeah, I think that's the problem, either have it EXACTLY like the EV UI with all the buttons in that style, or produce it in the style of Shipwrite, WeaponSmith etc etc (ie. Standard Mac OS).
1st. Rule of Design: Consistency

Yes. Your observation is noted. PFE has both kinds of buttons right now for 1 of two reasons:
-1.) There is no corresponding graphic already available for use in EV -2.) I am experimenting with how things work and consider things like how buttons look to be eye candy.
When I finish, I'm hoping most of PFE will look nearly identical to many of the EVO in game interfaces (many of the windows are direct copies of DITL resources). I'm doing the best I can with what I've got. Besides, I'm rather pleased with how things are progressing, seeing I downloaded RealBasic for the first time on the 4th.
Again, your input is appreciated.
