I know there is another discussion dealing with sounds but I figured I would be more likely to get a reply with a new one. Anyways I made this weapon and imported the particle beam sound from EV, that is copied and pasted. Instead of the sound of a particle beam I get some horrible, changing sound that goes on for about half a minute. At first I found it funny but after a couple of minutes I felt like either killing the machine or myself. Can anyone shed some light on this problem? I have the right sound number in my weapon file.

What does the weird sound sound like?
------------------ "...Until next time, take care of yourselves, and each other." Jerry Springer
The sound it makes is screeching, bliping, beeping, scratching, pulsing, high, low, and every other horrible sound you can think of in a tumbled melage. When I play the sound with ResEdit open it plays it just how it should sound.

One other interesting note is that it still didn't work when I duplicated the EV Sounds file and deleted everything except the sound I wanted. I changed the number and then deleted the original sound, leaving only the one from the duplicated EV Sounds file. I'm running out of ideas to try.
I finally figured out the problem and was pretty simple too. I put the sound ID as 219 instead of 19 in the weapon field. Next time I'll pay a little clsoer attention to the EVO bible.
