HELP!!!!! I've spent countless hours making a plug which is really awsome, but is now screwing up when it hasn't done this before. I was using Rapscallius in my plugins folder when I was testing, but now, since the ship rescources kept mixing, I took it out, then went into my plug and streamlined my outfits and ships, while making all the necessart adjustments. Now, when I load the game with my plug in it (have to as I'm in one of my plug's systems and in one of it's ships), I get the memory error message. I've tried increasing memory, still didn't work. I went into ResEdit (where I did a fair amount of my plug work), it said the file was fine, the plug still didn't work, I got rid of erronious data in my plug, still didn't work. HELP me!!! Please, help. These are the programs I used to create my plug: ResEdit, Shipwrite, The Docks, EVOGod, and EV Developer's Map. If anyone wants me to send them the plug so they can try and find the problem, please e-mail me. Otherwise, please put your tips here. I really need you other experienced developers' help here.
Cheers (with a plea for help), ~Jedibrass

It seems I'm becoming the poster boy for this, but I think you've got a Spin problem. One of your Spins is pointing to either a Sprite or Mask that isn't in your plug. EVO can't find what it's looking for and crashes.
If we're not talking about a 10 meg file, you can e-mail it to me.

It does seem to be the EV version of 'take two asprin and call me in the morning,' doesn't it? But it's a really common error.

No, it's almost certainly a spin problem. One of your spin resources points to a set of sprites that is not there, or maybe your ship resources and your spin resources don't line up.

Well, the problem is fixed. It was exactly as Thursday said, I had some spďn resources that referenced PICT files that weren't in the original plug, but why it crashed AFTER I took Rapscallius (sp?) out was b/c those spďn resources referenced PICTS in Rapscallious and therefore the game didn't quit on me. So, I took out the unsed spďns and my plug is fine now. Oh, and Jon Potter, I sent you an e-mail earlier today before I found the problem and I ment to attach the compressed plug file to the e-mail, but I didn't cause I forgot (thought I'd tell you that now instead of sending another e-mail).
Now, who's good at doing missions, I tried to do missions for my plug (called Phantom, but I may rename it later), but they wouldn't work. Can anyone help me? I mean, all the resources worked, except that the missions wouldn't work the way they were supposed to.
-Oh, and ALL the new ships in this plug put most of the standard EVO ships to shame. I mean, in the good side's interceptor I was able to take out Voinian Frigates with just my main lasers, no contusion or ion rockets were required.
Cheers, ~Jedibrass
-oh, yeah, um . . . how can I make my missles and rockets go straight with out constantly start doing turns (is that what happens when the +- 30ş and/or the +-60ş flags do? Just asking, b/c thats what my ion rockets and contusion missles keep doing (these are the new guided projectiles in my plug. I'm thinking of doing something like energy weapon artillery, now that would be fun :D)
