Another quick question.
If I have a fighter bay that launches a ship with AI type 2 (brave trader), will it fight for the ship that launched it or will it just act like a goofy trader?
------------------ Giule out.
I'm not sure but doesn't the AI type field just effect in system (background(?)) ships?

this might be something to ask mburch. That is, if he ever looks here, b/c I know he mostly spends his time on the Nova board.

Dunno. The ships are supposed to act as the specified AI if they are not directly controlled by the player. Why not use a ship with a warship AI rather than a trader?

Brave traders will actively fight the ships that attack you until they get out of range, and then they'll fly back to you. Wimpy traders will fight, but won't leave formation. Intercepters and warships will behave almost exactly the same as escorts. One big difference, however, is that only traders can be given cargo (at least when you rent them, not sure about capturing them). hth.
