I just d/led Strata 3D and while I'm still fairly incompetent with it, it's free at (url="http://"http://www.3d.com")www.3d.com(/url) and I think a number of people use it.

You've got me. I've been playing around with it. It can drive me nuts but if you play around enough you can start doing things. BTW is Bryce d/loadable and free? It seems to me that this would be useful working with Strate 3D for textures and stuff (if I understand it right). Any tips from the veterns or online guides to do Strata 3D would be helpful too!
Strata comes with PDF tutorials and documents which explain almost everything. I use Strata 3d v4 myself (MacAddict cd rom) and I've found it to be a great program, though it does take some getting used to. I'm mostly playing around with the different features right now (lathe, boolean, textures, etc...). The first place I would suggest for help would be the PDFs, for both tutorials and references.

Screw my last post here. I just found out that Strata3d 3.0 has to run on OS 8.5 or later, and I only have 8.1. :mad:
Aww hell, looks like I'll have to depend on others for my plug-in graphics.

Which MacAddict CD are you talking about? The only one I've seen with Strata3d is CD #48 (August 2000).
