Eeek. Ages since i've posted in here.
Anyway, Adobe's got a product coming out that's positioned between Photoshop and PhotoDeluxe, Adobe Photoshop Elements. It looks like it has all the features one would really need to clean-up images for plugins, without the cost of buying Photoshop or cough obtaining Photoshop.
Pricing is supposedly around US$100. $30 rebate if you're a registered PhotoshopLE user, as Photoshop Elements replaces LE. Schnifty. (url="http://"http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopel/main.html")http://www.adobe.com...hopel/main.html(/url)

Damn Adobe is too expensive for my taste.. I bought 5.0 for couple of 100 bucks... then 5.5 came out and they wanted some more money... now with 6.0 ,which is an awsome program, they charge even MORE money.... damn I'm sticking to 5.0... cost me enough...

I agree. I'm not updating my Photoshop, either. Adobe is one of the companies that I feel really rips people off (like Microsoft used to) by making products that don't really work right (like Adobe Indesign 1.0) and then charging people for an upgrade to fix it. Jude

In fact, I have Adobe Photoshop LE, and I'm very happy with it.

Photoshop is too rich for my blood. That why I use shareware and freeware tools to do my ships and stuff. Its cheaper than buying software and legal-er than "obtaining" it.
The cicn editor in ResEdit is all the graphics program I need!

Since Adobe is the topic, where can I get and update from GoLive 4.0.1 to GoLive 5.x? Anybody know?

True, true. And thats why EV, EVO, and the soon (maybe) to be EVN are and always will be Mac ONLY. But in my opinion, the only good things to come from Microsoft are I.E. 5.x and MSN Hotmail (I use and gasp love both, everything else from Microsoft especially Windows are cheap copies of high quality soft ware. I mean Windows is a cheap, low quality rip off of the most holy Mac OS). And to stay on topic, I must say that with my experience with Adobe, they haven't done any ripping off. They still continue to produce high quality products for the Mac (and begrudingly Windows -may it rot forever). But those are just my opinions, I can't speak for everybody else.
