Problem with EVOGOD govt

Whenever I try to save a government in EVOGOD, it tells me that "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled" and quits. I've tried pumping in more memory but it's not helping. The readme files say something about this bug, but it says that it's fixed. I just downloaded it yesterday. Anyone know what's wrong?

Also, I'm not sure what's up with the inherent jamming window. There don't seem to be any checkboxes there until I start clicking arround randomly. When I hit one, THEN it appears magicaly. Anyone know what's up with this?

Other than that, EVOGOD is really cool! I've been wanting to start on a second plug, and I think that EVOGOD will be my editor of choice. (Save me from painful eternity in ResEdit!)

I have the same problem with the gรถvt editor.

The best thing you can do when you encounter something like this is e-mail Kane O'Donnell at (url="http://"mailto:mailto:shado83@optusnet.com.au")mailto:mailto:shado83@optusnet.com.au(/url)mailto:shado83@optusnet.com.au

I'm having problems eliminating cross-computer bugs since my test environment is a nice 333Mhz iMac with heaps of RAM and MacOS 8.6. For people with less than this configuration I've heard of a few problems.

The magical appearance of inherent jamming flags is a novel bug! I've never heard of it before but if you are using Kaleidoscope it may be causing the problem...

My only advice is wait for the next version. The other thing, of course, is that EVOGod is not 68k compatible and uses uncompressed PPC code. In the next release (soon hopefully) I will offer different versions on the website in order to try and address these issues.

Cheers!

Kool. If it helps, I'm running a 6400 Performa with 48 megs of RAM (upgraded). Do you think that giving it more RAM would make a difference?

As for Kscope, I have no idea what that is. If I'm running it, I'm not aware of it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I'm also running a 6400/180 with 48 megs RAM and I'm not having any problems. If you are running VM try turning it off.

That's strange. I'll try the Virtual Memory thing.

Out of curiosity, what OS are you running? I'm running 8.0.

It's a visual interface modification app. It's not part of the Mac OS and you would have had to download it.
