sound capture

i was wondering if there is something i could use to capture and record the sounds from my mac directly with software so the sound quality wouldn't be as bad as with a wire. i've made pretty cool trax with playerPro(freeware) and found a way around the saving denial thingy but can't export music to for example aiff or mp3 and i'd like to make one acid rave tune I made with EV soundeffects (very cool, believe you me.)in it a title song for my plug. Also i could better distribute my music over the internet and (url="http://"http://www.mp3.com")www.mp3.com(/url) with hopefully no money spent. Also i'm not very eager on buying the latest version of playerPro since my computer can't run it without a new system update, wich i'm unwilling to do because 1)my current system works fine and 2)i don't have time to update my system.
Thanks in advance,

Can you use periods next time? It makes everything easier to understand.

You need SnapzPro http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/Products/SnapzPro.html made by our very own Ambrosia. It is a screen capture ability that not only makes snapshots, but movies of the computer's screen. It can also capture sound, what you are looking for.

Why would it deny you the ability to save if it was freeware? If it is shareware then I must encourage you to register. That is the easiest way to remove disabilities.

Quicktime Pro http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ does AIFF and maybe MP3s. If you don't want to dish out the cash, Quicktime 2.5 http://www.open.org/~peltierd/QT2.5.html does most of what the Pro version does for free. A simple search engine could probably solve the need for software if these don't work.

how, exactly, do you capture sound with snapz pro? i tried it but couldn't figure out how to capture sound. i have 7600/132 if that helps.
and sorry for the lack of periods:i was in a hurry
and QT4 does NOT pack .mp3, but reads it.
Thanks anyway!
