I'm really bogged down in the tower. I've read the posts with no luck, may I please have a major spoiler to crack the puzzle and get me to Galion.

now look at you key pad, 7 8 9 4 5 6 1 2 3 these are the switches on the floor. every puzzle starts with 7 5 and 2 lit to solve each one I turn all switches off first. Clear screen- 6 1 5 4 6 5 1st puzzle 1 7 9 3 5 2ed " 5 1 7 9 3 5 4 8 6 2 5 3ed " 5 1 7 9 3 5 4 8 6 2
4th puzzle is a clock Walk through center vertically and step back on the last button twice, mins is now set. Now walk sideways from left, go two buttons in and then go back. Walk around to right side and walk through to the left side, then step back onto the last one, hours set.
Thank you so very much. The key pad...I'd have never gotten it, I've been using the arrows instead of the key pad (from beginning to end with v1.0 and now with Conjourer).
What a Great Game! I'm lovin' this pluggin, but I wish more info. had come with it...I just 'happened' to discover the function of the 'V' and 'C' keys while playing, and I've been checking the boards to see how to use the firey arrows. I'm L17/Ex.107 and currently find the magic more trouble than it's worth, though it's not been easy going thus far with the Axe Misery either...been having some good Luck though.
Thanks again.
I'm playing on a Mac and the numbers listed above don't seem to work. Can anybody tell me exactly how to get to the guy who sells stuff in the Mage Tower? I spent 15 minutes trying to follow the number to turn off all the circles and it just didn't work.
got the same problemo (also mac)

I got the "reset" sequence and the first three puzzles to work, but the clock setting sequence doesn't work for me.

can you tell me what you mean sideways from left and explain the whole 4th floor easier

The keypad reference is to explain the arrangement of the switches on the floor and relate it to the numbers given above: for instance, the switch at the top left corresponds to 7 on the keypad.
The clock (4th level) solution is incorrect. Walking acroos the large clock on the floor vertically (from top to bottom of your screen) sets the hour, not minutes. On the final pass from right to left (enter on the right - 3 o'clock - side and walk all the way across to exit on the left - 9 o'clock - side) then step back onto the last switch twice.
I really don't know how anyone has solved any of these puzzles except by a huge amount of trial and error. I am probably missing something but there really does not seem to be any logical procedure to solve them except trying all possible combinations of switches, especially since there is no clue to the solution except the markings on the floor of the "transporter" alcove, and that does not become apparent until one has seen two or more of the puzzles.
I consider this gross discrimination against the Conjurer class, since the Ranger and Swordsman "specialty shops" are right out in the open where anyone can walk in without any effort, and I plan to file a complaint with the proper authorities at the earliest opportunity
i am also having problems with the keypad thing. i used the exact numbers that AAC put for level two, and ive used em 5 times and they still wont work

Damfino what the trouble is. Worked fine for me the first time and I have done it a couple more times. You did use the "clear screen" or "reset" sequence before you started, right? It should be done for each puzzle except the clock.
i finally got past it, but the clear screen sequence didnt work at all on the 2nd or 3rd puzzle. i got through it purely by trial and error. it took 5 minutes of random switching on the clock to get through. i must say, tho, i was disapointed when i found galion. theres not really anything thats really powerful. if you get there when youre really weak tho (like i was, i had 35 hp when i ran the gauntlet past the rock golems and cyclops to get to the tower) theres sum kick @$$ stuff there.

Strange that the clear sequence didn't work for you, it's worked for me every time. But at least you were able to get through.
I too was disappointed with the items offered for sale, after all that trouble you should at least get a 'Staff of Lightning' or some such powerful item. It would be nice if there were some item or potion to give a really big boost to spell points. The Elven Cloak (or whatever) and the Conjurer's Staff seem to somewhat useful, I have also picked up a Mage Shield for additional protection.
I'm in a bit of a predicament. Im in the first puzzle room, and my game was saved after i had fooled around with the puzzle. The clear screen thing wont work and I cant get out. What do i do?
Never mind. Got them all blank by trial and error.
