I think that it would be cool if someone were to make a TC that was based on a modern war. You could change the background to a desert or ocean and make ships that were planes, tanks or ships (water kind), etc. Everything would be up to modern standards, I'd like to land at a base in Bah'hran or a carrier and get a mission to bomb Baghdad in an F/A-18 (no offense to anyone from Baghdad, just using Gulf War as example).
I myself don't have too much time free to work on this, so i'm posting this to see if anyone is interested in using this idea.
------------------ I probably should put some witty remark here. But I won't.
Um, nope. You cant change the background colours. You CAN change star colour, but there is no way to change the background itself.

Really? I thought that it was a pict, seeing as how it is a repeating pattern. Anyway, it would still make an interesting plug.
Meowx Design figured out how to actually change the background. It's not stored in a PICT, I think it's figured out by an equation.

weird, if syntax had done it by the currently acceptable method it would be a collection of sprites scrolling across the screen, and whenever the scroll off the edge they get a new placing at the other edge. It would be possible to change the background colour by hacking the source code, but you couldnt distribute then. Anyway, I bet he now uses SWAnimateStarfield() =P
And as for those PICTs, lots of people have fallen into that trap, they just change the star colour as far as I can see, and no, orange and green doesnt look realistic =P.
