Spice Trading

What am I missing? How do you do that?

ET

------------------

1st- Find Master Norgha(I haven't yet, to busy at the Post Office to play much), then to step 2
2nd-Drug Running...(copied from another post)
Drop by Master Nohrga (you do need to be playing in Trinity), buy up as much of any of the assorted flowers, herbs, etc that he sells (plus one Nohrga gate stone). Go one square south and hop into the tunnel system. Come out at Gwyden Camp. Go two squares to the gwyden camp merchant, sell off all the plants at twice the price you bought them for, activate the Nohrga gate stone and, voila, you have just doubled your money. Repeat until you get bored or have enough money for your wolf claws. The only problem is that your wrist may get tired from buying (and selling) so many echinoc flowers.
This does make it essentially trivial to get yourself whatever ludicrous weaponry you want in a reasonable amount of time. And best of all, you havent (really) cheated. Exponential growth is your friend.
3rd-Tell me where Norgha is so I can get rich enough to get my Ranger better, please!
Good Luck, Ellen
Mike

Can this be done as a swordsman?
if not what are ways of gaining max gold ...aside from running around and killing monsters 🙂

No. Master Nohrga either only sells spices to rangers, or only sells them cheaply
to rangers. But the spice running will only work for the ranger class.

Pretty much running around and killing monsters. Unless you want to use an external
cheat program to artificially bump up your gold and/or stats.

(edited due to a misplaced bracket which screwed up the quotes)

Sounds good to me! To get extra monies, I'm constantly going to caves I've been in, or the Swamp just to get some extra cash. Very boring....
Nohra: If you've been to the Elf, use the Transport to take you to the ruins where he's located. Go S/W one square and cross over the bridge (there's a sign that says South to Varandeep Lake. Go South one more square and find a cave. Go into the cave, down the ladder to the exit. Will bring you out on the road south heading toward Gidolan Gate. Approx. 3 more squares South you'll see the Circled "S" (if you're a Pathfinder) go in there and that's Nohra.... 🆒

See Ya ..

sure he will! just keep buying herbs (i think its the thusy herbs or the echinoc flowers that you buy for 75 gold, get whichever one) and sell them at Gwyden by using the gate or sell em to fungus (1 east of the north gidolan entrance. when you get up to 6000 gold, start buying th minotaur alchemist books. theyll get your money up a lot faster. buy em for 6000, sell for 12000. itll start getting faster from there. i was buying and selling those until i had nearly 8 million gold. (i blew all but 2000 of it on potions at kalixas place) when youre doing it, it doesnt seem as long as when youre thinking about it.

Thanks, ET. I'll go looking for him as soon as I can. Let you know how long it takes me to hit a million GP.

(url="http://"http://pub19.ezboard.com/bsharewarehaven/")Shareware Haven:(/url) A place to get together and talk about RPGs from your favorite Shareware companies!

They really should get rid of this in the next update. It took me several days to get my conjuerer up to were I could kill the big baddies in pink, but once I got to Norgha (I had 4 gwyn... camp stones and less than 1000 GP) I bought 2 Norgha stones, and within 5 minutes, I had several million GP (with a 2 min break to track down the peddler and stock up on more stones). After that, I went to the smith in Belgaria (sp?) and maxed out on armor. Another trip to Norgha and I've got AC of 103 and a vicious weapon. Then I went to the witch, and in 10 minutes, I had an indestructible ranger.

Since then, it's been no fun playing as nothing is a challange and I've still got 2 million GP.

My conjuerer was a lot more fun building. I don't even use the ranger spells. I just hack and I could kill the giants at around lvl 12.

My advice, don't do the Norgha thing, it destroys the game play and any strategy you may have to use with the Ranger. It's just too easy.

ROFL. That is so true, and not just in PoG.
