Hello After a long time i'm back and busy again. I'm beginning with my plug from scratch and now that i have a iBook ( that performa630 has finaly been replaced) i can use all cool 3D programs. I'm using Strata 3D now and i think it rocks. It's a bit complicated but i'll get the hang on it. anyway how do i rotate the objects in an animation for spins??? ( i can figure it out in the end, but i don't have so much time anymore (need to work ya know)
thanx

I belive that to make an animation, you open the project window, move the blue, diamond shaped slider to where you want the next keyframe to be, then rotate the ship, it should be grouped as a single object while you do this. I usually set the frame rate to 9 fps, and rotate the ship 90 degrees every second, and make sure you select all in the Render dialog box. hope that helped, if it didn't I'll try to explain it better.

I think you should rather render from 1 to 36 (it always suggests 1 to 37 on my version, but i use strata studio pro 2.x.x so it might be different). Do you have animation in strata 3D? i thought it was the only reason to upgrade to studio pro and i didn't pay for my copy btw i hear a demo version 2.5(.0) can be updated to the full version with the offical updater 2.5.x -> 2.5.3 or 2.5.2 And i hope you added some ram to your iBook strata 3d is always hungry for more memory, you need at least 96Mb to do practicually anything and 128 is practicually a min. if you've got the bucks go for 256Mb.

Thanks all, I think i can figure it out now. BTW. I've recently added 64 mb to the original 32=96 megs think that's enough.
96Mb is totally OK if you only use it for small pics and spins, but if you want to make complicated particle effects or use hi-res texturemaps or other memory demanding "hollywood-quality" work you'll need more (i find 96mges furstratingly little i have virtualmemory on and it still often says i don't have enough memory)
