I was wondering if someone could tell me how to add turret space to a Zidara using ResEdit. My Zidara lost 2 turret slots because of the two phased beamers. I can't sell the Beamers so I only have 1 turret slot left out of three. So if somone could please tell me how to fix this predicamint, I would be grateful :). I think making the turret space from 3 to 5 would probably fix it :).

I reccommend using ShipWrite, rather than ResEdit, for this simple edit. However, one simply opens a copy of the relevant EVO data file, opens the ship resorces, locates the Zidara file, opens it, find the 'Turrets' field, and changes it to their liking.
Easy, no?

Alternatively you couuld change the hex flag for the phase beam so you can sell it.

OR you can download (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiasw.com/cgi-bin/vftp/dl-redirect.pl?path=evo/plugins&file;=ExtraOutfits1.3.sit.hqx")Extra Outfits 1.3(/url) and pop in the Turret Fix (it makes turrets take up only a turret spot like they're SUPPOSED to) the downside to this is that it kinda unbalances the game because the ships were modified in 1.0.1 (e.g. 2 cannons spots/4 turret spots became 4 cannon spots and 4 turret spots)

Ah, of course.... I think...
I should rephrase this. I am a first timer at ResEdit and have just recently received it from a friend. I can't download ShipWrite so please walk me through the ResEdit thing. For instance, which file etc. Thank you

open override data 1, open ship resource, find zidara and open it, scroll down to maxtur and change to 2 more.

Well thanks for the detailed description but I'm still not seeing it. Could it be because the version is version 2.1.3? Any more help would be appreciated
OK: make sure templates are installed in resedit.

so exactly how are you posting?

How do ya do that?
Sorry for the stupid questions but this is my first time :). Thank you again

I think the templates are already installed, so you actually probably don't have to do this. However, if when you open up EVO Data 1 with ResEdit, there isn't a TMPL rescource, do this: In your plugins folder for EVO there should be a Sample Plugin. Open up Resedit, then open up the Sample Plug with ResEdit. Click on the "TMPL" resource in the main window, and I think all you have to do is copy it (command C). then open up the EVO Data 1 file, and just paste it in EVO Data 1's main window.
I think that should work...

Except that the shďp resource is in Override Data 2, at least on my version of EVO (1.0.2).

DONT PASTE IT INTO ANY OVERRIDE STUFF! Open resedit with resedit and paste it in. Once the TMPL's are in resedit theyll automatically work.
