I don't know why, but all of Squibix's ship's (except the purple ones) seem like they might work well for a government called the interstellar coast gaurd. It's probablly the antennae and the orange paint, and I'm probablly the only one who thinks this.

It nice except I think the pincer thingies come to close together.

Hehehe... indeed! But I should point out, there's only one ship there with orange paint; although there will probably be more to come. And you failed to mention the fouled anchor insignia on the tug, which also imparts a distinctly nautical theme. What can I say? You're right!
As for the antennas, I just like em, I guess. For the scoutship I wanted some sort of visible sensors, besides the stereotypical radar dish; for the other ship, all those antennas were in the original drawing. I even left some out, if you can belive that!
And, let me seize this opportunity to plug Type11's (url="http://"http://www.type11designs.f2s.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?bypass=true")Ship Design webboard(/url). He made me a moderator, so I'd hate to see the the board die from lack of interest!
