This afternoon on 11/21, i heard from OctoberFost that apparently they had tested 1KW and found it very buggy. So the developere(11) of mille terrae decided to vote whether to turn Mille Terrae into vaporware. As far i know, the vote is 4-3 or 5-3 for vaporware.

If there was any such vote, I knew nothimg about it.
And there aren't 11 developers.
The kernel of truth in OF's statements is that the initial development copy of 1KW did run buggy on two developers' comps.

I was under the influence of medication when I made those comments.
It was something I like to call a "joke" or a "trick".
Mille Terrae is not buggy, there were some bugs, but not many. There is no vote, we don't want to go Vaporware, and WE WON'T, DAMNIT!!!! WE CAN DO THIS, IF NOT FOR THE EV/O COMMUNITY THEN JUST TO SAY TO CAPITAN SCURVY.
Now lemme explain why I said that to the topic poster on AIM.
Whenever we talk on AIM, he ALWAYS brings up Mille Terrae. I always tell him its going well and hasn't changed much from the last time he asked (usually the day before).
Now, its not that this annoys me, but me saying the same thing everyday anoys me. So I decided to (I was on medication and reading about the election) make up this vote story, and just to scare him, make the vaporware votes lead. Then I was going to tell him that the people against vaporware rallied and won by a huge margin.
Then he went and posted this topic.
I have learned my lesson. Never again shall I try to be humerous on AIM. I have been taught a lesson :frown:

Is this just a guess, or have you been in contact with him?
I suspect the same thing, but that seems odd considering how much he was touting his latest Pavonian update.
And if he in fact bailed then why wouldn't he have said something before closing up the webboard? This behavior seems to be proving true all of the negative things people have been saying about him.
At any rate, we can't let this kill the project; I'm still committed to continuing.

I suggest you read the writings of Capitan Scurvy. That, in conjunction with Jack's rant on the board, is what convinced me to bail. The forces of realism overwhelmed me.
I shall reinstate the webboard, but I doubt it will be used much longer.

I still hate CS, but not becasue of this.
As much of a jerk as he is, he is a realist. And I respect that. When we were all blinded by pipe dreams he realized that this was impossible.
I only posted that message to let the team know hom much work we've got. I am also determind to finish the plug. I'll have the (secret government module) 100% by the weekend. Then I can work on the Maltherane some more.

Heh...if It was me leading this (I'm not.../me just a graphics dude...) I'd say you put yourself out and pissed others off, then you're off for good. No remorse...no regrets...for you've already proven that you cannot commit to anything...so why try again...
I'm not speaking for anyone, just myself when I say I'd like you to simply resign because your job isn't anything that nobody can do...and like i said before, you've proven that you're too easily influenced into quitting...You being gone doesn't mean life or death for 1kw...heck...it could mean a less buggy plug...
Well I'm done now...and after i finish my part w/ 1kw...I'll probably be off the subject...
Let us continue with the project. We have done so much work already so why give up now when we are so close to proving everybody wrong. Personally, it is no the plug that matters to me, its showing those people who said we couldn't that we can do a damn good job.
One other thing I need to add, slightly more stupid. I had all of my 1KW stuff stored on a syquest drive. my G4 has no SCSI port (everybody knows that) and I don't know if it is worth buying a SCSI card if I only have one peripheral. Anyways, I can replace everything else on that disk (just EV/O utils) but I cannot get my Traders module back. If anybody has it could they please send it back to me (alexhawkins@home.com). That would save me the trouble of buying a SCSI card so I can retrieve it.
